Inflation has been very bad all over the world since COVID. USA's economy has recovered better than almost any other country worldwide. Greedy companies can inflate prices even when the production cost is low. Harris' plan to address price gouging is probably the best idea.

Trying to fact-check Trump real-time is like trying to catch every drop of rain in a monsoon. Mr Trump stood in the way of a border bill that would have really reduced border crossings. It was a bipartisan effort to fix the problem that Trump stopped. Trump stopped something that would fix the border problem. Never forget.
The most important part of the bill was an increase in patrol personnel, and intercept technology, plus an increase of inspection personnel at airport cargo terminals.
Trump may have took credit but that garbage bill was DOA. Wouldn't have fixed the problem. It would have just streamlined the processes to get the illegals in, and to only use cameras and other modern equipment to keep track of the ones that sneak in. It would have done nothing to actually close the border. Do some actual research and not take either sides word for what that bill does.

American citizen here. Lived 57 years in USA worked 40 years and had health insurance for about only 10 years. Now I am retired and living in Germany, I pay for the Government provided health care a small sum each month and have full health care, mental, dental, body. No one in my family in the US has dental or mental health care covered by insurance. Children here in Germany don't have shooter drills in school. There is no end to unemployment in Germany as long someone keeps looking for work or attends school. Our food prices are up just like the rest of the world. I feel for everyone living in the US to the exclusion of the gun promoters and those trying to control women. I hope Kamala wins and brings some sensibility to how the Government treats and sees people. When republicans get their way, guns and corporations come first, makes for a shitty country.

Here's a practical example of the economy getting better. In April my wife and I had to drive from Washington state to Missouri. Fuel prices were pretty consistent at $4.25 to $4.50 per gallon. We are currently driving from Washington state to Virginia and gas prices are around $3.40 - $3.50 per gallon. That's a 25% drop in gas prices and during the Summer driving season when fuel prices typically spike.
