Love mine, done almost 3000 miles on it. Only negative I’d say is the weight. It’s advertised as easily 6.8kg which unfortunately is bollox. Mine is just under 7.5kg with Red drivetrain and Force shifters/derailleurs. New full red would only be 200g less.
I found the same thing when I tested the Ostro a few months back. It's fast, and doesn't take a lot of effort to hold it at 18 - 22mph, but, if something causes you a drop in speed, you fall out of the operating window and you then need to put some effort in to get back up to the previous speed.
Great review. My m8 swears by them and has two. I'm building your review bike from a month ago, and unless I'm picking you up wrong, it's the better bike 😉
Yes! You have picked up on it nicely. I really loved this bike and would be in love it I had spent my own money on it. But there is one I would rather put my own money on as you have picked up.
Feel free to message me on instagram and I can send it over privately. (@jasons_cyclingunboxed) I have had to stop to keep brands on my side otherwise I will never get to ride anything else in the future
It’s very very close. Definitely the closest bike to the sl8 which is no small compliment. I think it’s a little less comfortable and I personally prefer the way the sl8 handles a bit more but that one is just personal preference. Safe to say I would put my own money down on it
Cyclist is not needed anymore, since Factor is climbing, and speeding on its own. : ) Factor often is described by owners as a soulless bike. As 90% road frames are designed, and manufactured with similar technology, geometry and material. The feeling comes not only from the frame, but definitely from wheels, tyres, and seat post, and saddle etc. The same frame "armed" differently would have different impression on cyclists. To me as designer visual branding look chaotic, huge logotype, and huge wheels brand name. They compete with each other, leaving no visual space to for the viewer. I've seen much better color scheme of this bike with mores subtle sign.
