Weirdest coincidence in a while. I was not recommended this video, I was just wondering by chance whether Nefrums had a new factorio run on YT. Can't wait to watch!
I been watching this a few times like a obsess stalker, and some thing that i have been thinking about how the game is kind of slow in the beginning, totally governed by the player input, then when bots come online it really speeds up to again kind of slow down when there is a lack of raw material, due to player input. Of cause, when having bots, complexity is not a issue. A few things that might help. 1: The blueprints for the final green circuit builds are printed several times. It really should only need to be printed once, then having smarts moving from a steel chest to a provider in turn of when its needed. This could not only decrease human input, but also increase speed, and possibly decreasing the amount of bots needed. 2: Having a more true train network fully integrated in the base with dedicated prebuild ofloaders. 3: Having on mine melting integrated. This decreases the trainload on the network to half and also saves space in the main bases. 4: Have integrated meeting and bypass track as well as track splitting in the basic build. This would make it possible for train to share track. And also double loop is single headed trains are used. 5: Ship green circuit back to base that is made for the 20M gold. Even if its done for only the the first 2 or 3 built, that would sure help with both power and production. 6: Have the mining outpost being automatically retroactively upgraded. (a way to do this is to build a 3rd station for upgrades where a special upgrade train come with beacons and modules. Well.. i don´t know if anything of those thing will work, but i kind of think the rail game is kind of week.
Hello, appreciate the great speedruns. The first two green science assemblers are not working at all because the inserters and belts come from the middle of the belt, timestamp 42:50
man, ill smoke some weed and go to slow down the video thinking i sped it up for the start, and see that shits still at 1x speed. wtf lmao nefrums is a machine gun with the clicks out here
I think there is non-negligeable time to be saved by removing inserters from your early smelting line blueprints. It's easy to miss installing some inserters with the ghosts. It likely doesn't matter; the lost ~10 steel by the 55:00 mark and about 20-60 iron plates earlier in the run seemed to lead to pretty well-fed assemblers. I feel the blueprint solution may be superior to the alternative of investing 2-4 seconds on each mining and smelting line for belt/power/inserter QC would have paid off in production over time. Then again I guess you have help from others watching and giving live feedback.
So where do all the green circuits go that you build in each of these outposts? The outposts don't seem to clog, but I don't see the green circuits leaving anywhere.. 🤔 Are you just chesting it and you have calculated that it all just fits into the number of chests at the outposts?
i still have that question, like is it a mod that is disappearing items in chests or maybe there are just enough storage over the whole run that they never fill up?
He’s doing the “lazy b*stard” challenge which means that he can only hand craft a certain number of items - everything else has to be automated. So he’s collecting resources as he can’t create more miners or he’ll go over the item limit and lose the 100% challenge
Given that so much time in the run is spent laying down outposts, and those require the player to be there for the initial stamp, would it make sense to get a couple spidertrons doing the stamps so you can be doing other tasks? Does the investment pay for itself?
The problem is two parts, his time running around and just as important how fast the base can produce the materials that are needed to make the outposts. Even if he had a free spidertron he would have to significantly increase the production of his base to keep up with making more outposts. I'm not sure exactly where the break even point for the extra production capacity would end up at.
WR of just launching the rocket is the 1h 25min, he is doing all challenges on which includes 20million green circuits which is by far the slowest part of it all
Nefrums. Couple of seconds you can squeeze becouse of not working one of the steel furnace: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-q7pcu3V9fsI.html . Seventh from the right side.
