The video describes the regulation of production of red blood cells i.e. erythrocytes. For the production of red blood cells, the progenitor cells should proliferate and differentiate to blast cells. Later blast cells mature into red blood cells. For the proliferation of progenitor cells and their differentiation, erythropoeitin is required. Erythropoetin is produced by kidneys in response to decreased oxygen supply to tissues (hypoxia). There are other hormones also like thyroid hormone, growt hormone , testosterone which stimulate erythropoeisis. For the maturation of blasts cells into mature red blood cells, certaing raw materials are required like iron, vitamin B12 and folic acid, copper, and cobalt. Along with that amino acids are also required for the synthesis of globin component of hemoglobin.
The production of red blood cells follows the classical negative feedback control.

did you look at how sauna sessions increases erythropoiesis due to the lack of blood in the kidneys when all the blood is in the extremities of the body for cooling effect?
