Petrified wood, or as many people call it "petrified wood", is the fossilized wood of trees that grew during the Permian and Carboniferous periods.
Petrified wood can be found in areas that were covered in volcanic ash about 150-265 million years ago. It was under these trees that huge dinosaurs once walked and it was their leaves that were chewed by the herbivorous predecessors of modern animals. Petrified wood preserves the pattern of annual rings and the internal structure of the wood.
As a result of the volcanic eruption, the trees fell under a thick layer of volcanic ash, the high temperature of which kept the wood optimally sterile and free of various harmful microorganisms that destroy it. Hot volcanic ash was thus an ideal means of preserving wood. Nowhere else in the world will you find such a variety of colors and combinations of petrified wood as in Indonesia. Petrified wood is used to make stools, tables, sculptures and tiles.
And at the same time, it is a natural stone in its physical and chemical characteristics. Petrified wood is an incomparable decorative material that combines the durability of stone and the natural beauty of wood at the same time.
Each piece of petrified wood holds the unique ornamentation of centuries. Adds a luxurious and unique touch. Harmonizes and fills the space with coziness.
