You should swap out those new style headlights for the old rectangular square side by side lights or the twin OO lights. I think it would make a huge difference

The dimples are from the quenching process after heat treatment. The bed plates have that pattern to allow the quench water to flow around the frame channel.

Wont the 5th wheel mounting plate have to be widened because you've widened the chassis where it mounts. Just a though.

Officer Dougal 👮‍♀️ called and said those dimples are minor high and low imperfections in the base metal that are small enough that the paint fills them

I hope you're going to paint the frame underneath where you're going to put that fifth wheel back on first. That doesn't make any sense to me or am I missing something? If you just sand the frame down and bolt that fifth wheel back on it's going to rust like crazy under there without any paint on it.

Hello Mr.Bruce Wilson. Newport News , Virginia. I have come across a 1984 International COE with a big cam 400 Cummins and a 13 spd. The body needs a little bit of work and some engine work as well. But the interior is tooled leather like the Ford King Ranch . Was as wondering where would be a good shop to get the work done .

So y did the paint fail I am a automotive painter for 29 years did they not put a good sealer on it or cheap paint is the the frame e coated from the factory

Growing up Peterbilt was my favorite truck as a kid. As a truck driver I've driven Peterbilt Volvo Freightliner and international. Modern Peterbilt has the best interior but the truck feels super cheap. I don't know if that's because of paccar. Now I haven't driven a Peterbilt like yours I've only driven a more aerodynamic model. but it's got the worst traction and the roughest ride . Both Freightliner and the pete this automatics and they have a tag axle instead of a twin screw they both have the same smart valve and the Freightliner has far more traction than the Peterbilt. And it rides much nicer. But the Volvo rides the best of them all and the international is just Rock solid. But that's an older international I can't speak about the new ones. Long story short I'd rather take the 7-year-old Freightliner over the brand new Peterbilt when it comes to getting the job done also the peterbilts are in the shop a lot more often. And above all I'd rather take the twin screw Volvo over anything with the 10 speed. Cuz even our 10-speed freightliners have a tag axle and it's absolutely useless in the snow. Being I'm in Minnesota all the newer trucks get stuck. And no we can't run chains.

Not to be rude or trash talk your sponsor but if that detroit 12.7 isn't a factory rebuild with OEM parts run away as fast as you can. You're sponsor doesn't have the best track record with their in house rebuilds.
