I legit hold the door for everyone. I was told to as a kid and I continue as an adult. I know you can open the door on your own, I just want to be nice. Holding a door open takes a few seconds and a simple "thanks" always brightens my day.
I hold doors open for anyone, male or female, if I'm at a door before them. The same is done to me if they get to a door before I do. However, I was taught as a child by my father to hold doors open for women, not because they were weak, but to show respect. The first woman a boy is taught to respect is his mother.

I didn't go to college to hear that I'm amazing and priviledged and special. I went to college so that I could expand my worldview, see the world from an academic standpoint, and maybe learn some important skills that I'll use later in life. I've had more than my fair share of disagreements and problems, but I never made a point to cry and whine about these bumps in the road. I fixed the problems, or if I couldn't fix it myself, I asked for help. That's what being a normal and decent person is all about: contributing to society, being responsible, and being kind.
I did a little bit of community college and I had a writing teacher who did not grade on a curve. "I give the INDIVIDUAL what THEY earn" she would say. Brilliant woman. No she is not the most likeable person on the planet but she is there to mold writers not to hold hands and coddle people. She gave would give Fs when warranted. She would critique (yes pretty much shame) writing excerpts on the overhead while covering the student's name and she would give A's when deserved. Guess what mixture I got? All three. I passed the class with an A in the end. No teachers of mine there accepted late homework EVER. We never got the "you are a snowflake needing to be coddled" that I saw. I guess it is different for other people.

When you have a shortage of labor, labor becomes something that companies have to be competitive for. High demand and low supply in labor means more benefits, higher pay etc. to attract individuals to come work for them, or their business will not have the necessary individuals for it to compete with other companies in that industry. So for the owner to fulfill his "evil greedy desires", he has to make himself very attractive to get labor.

He called the rape/incest justification for abortion an "excuse," said he believed rapists should be castrated or killed and that this justifies his opposition to abortion, and said he wouldn't identify transgenders by any gender different from their birth sex because he didn't want to. I also watched one of his videos on abortion, and all he did was repeatedly call it murder.

Take the entire universe and shrink it down to a point, or even a milky-way-galaxy-sized area, and the “lumens” of that area would be far brighter than anything we can observe now. You don’t have to have a body of gas that’s compressed enough by it’s own gravity to sustain fusion reactions (a star) to have light. Just so long as there IS some kind of reaction that can release photons, you have light.

I broke my back, pelvis, hip and my right femur in half three years ago at work and while I was on crutches ( when I could start getting out) I only had one female hold a door for me, all the rest saw me right behind them but didn't hold it for me. Now men on the other hand, they would wait for me to hobble up and then some would even crack a joke about holding the door for the gimp, didn't offend me in the least bit though.
