@@louisianaball Well, usually the reason bands tune lower is because the vocalist is years, sometimes decades older than when they recorded the song, and their voice is just deeper.
Ever since i discovered bands like Toska and Dorje, whom mostly stick around Drop C or D Standard, all my guitars stay in that range and i refuse to go higher haha. There's just something about sitting in that range, not too low but not normal tuning either :3
This version of the song is in D standard. Meaning all the strings are tuned down a whole step. What you’re talking about, with only the E string dropped a whole step, is called drop D
