As an England fan, Ill say that de klerk is a brilliant scrum half, good to watch, it is hilarious when he steps on the accelerator and you see his little legs going like the clappers through all of the 6ft5 monsters.
@@6jackace Average height depends on the country you are referring to. The average height of South-African males is 167cm/ 5'6". We are not talking about Netherlands or Montenegro here.
Not the biggest player, not the fastest player, maybe not the best player in the world but he is without a doubt the bravest and most inspiring player in a long time
Yeah good call but it's also his determent. If he played more like Aaron, never making tackles and all way's offloading, he would have more time to make better decisions, more energy to make even better crux plays and more energy to see the game out. He shouldn't be doing the role of the forwards and defensive backs for them. Bloody good player though and a real good leader.
well, what he does wins the springboks games like the one against NZ. where were aaron in those games by the way? Nowhere to be found, totally outplayed by faf
Japan team was no match for him.He caught Japan off guard and got the points. Since that game, he became my favorite player. I pray for their best from Japan!
all those big ass beasts on the field and this guy is the most impressive 1.... not realy a rugby fan or watch much of it at all but i know 2 names and those 2 are legends in my eyes, faf de clerck and eben etzebeth
What amazes me is the speed he is back on his feet!!!! What a scrum!!!! As a French, I thought Antoine Dupond was good, but I have to say Faf De Klerk beats him big time!!!!
CroseyCompsRugby. De Klerk is a leftie, like myself. I wonder how he doesn’t get any concussion though... He must be into BJJ or wrestling like I do because his tackles are always perfectly timed and executed.
Love both of them, but an honorable mention should be Dan Robson. He's got all skills you want and absolute fantastic to watch. I can't believe is not playing for England!
Love this boy beyond, beyond !! Certainly for me the best in the world although for each person it could probably be a different choice. Have never seen a scrumhalf like this. He is everywhere all the time and then more than that and double that !! Go to some of the videos where he talks and is interviewed. That is when you realise what a wonderful person he really is. Like a lot of those S. Africans, such a humble boy !!
@@seanmc9410 Agree with you. Murray is the best in the world. However, Faf is way better than Smith and Smith is not even the best in NZ at the moment.
Man this dude is an absolute athlete. I bet he could even play 7 at a world class level. Aw Man that could change the game! If you have essentially 2 9's on the feild and just have a centre acting as a sort of 7 for ruck work, then you could really innervate your attack! HOLY SHIT IMAGINE THAT LEVEL OF SPLIT IN YOUR PLAYMAKERS! Aw man I'm so high rn
500 Subs Without any videos! Great to hear young man, keeping working hard and focusing on your game and soon you will be the best scrum half in the world! Best of luck from Ireland.
Leverage and all that, sure, but I played football against a lot of short guys, and no one tackled ANYTHING like this guy. His legs and hips are obscenely strong.
@@PuhiPureBloOdYT I haven't followed him at all, so in my ignorance didn't rate him at all but then I watched that particular game and I became a fan. If SA were #1, he would have already be considered the best
Aaron Smith's consistency makes him the best in the world, his box kicks are always spot on, but Faf's explosiveness and swagger make him the most dangerous in the world.
Really nice to see that the 3 best 9 in the world (Smith-Murray-De Klerk) are really different : Smith the best pass ever, Murray the best management and De Klerk the most crazy in term of runs.
Aaron Smith still the best in the South, dont know about the north, Faf is getting better and better with all the hard work he is putting in - what can I say, he is a handful and hard as nails..big respect... South Africa have him and then who else.... that is the concern, there is a massive reliance on him... To the level that NZ rely on Brody Retallic
I love him taking on the number eight from England, doesn’t matter the guy is three times bigger than him! What I see is when he’s 50 or 60 his body paying for all that, but that’s called living!
Faf;s got incredible Rugby-intelligence. And he can back it up as well with all of his skills. On top of that he's ruthlessly fearless and fast as f*kk (hahaha, only NOW I get his name!)
