FAIDE'S Secret Movement Tech (Quick Slide) Explained 

This works with or without auto-sprint and with toggle or hold crouch and on console. Whenever i dont specifically mention something, it's likely because i tested it and it didn't change the outcome.

I've always wondered how he and lyric etc do slide jumps so quickly from stationary positions. started doing more quick holster-unholsters recently, hadn't thought about sprinting while though. good vid!

For me learning the "quick slide" was pretty easy but drawing my weapon immediately after was hard. I ended up adding a secondary bind to "equip primary" as mousewheelup. Then all you gotta do is train yourself to 'scroll up' right after 'scrolling down' for the bhop. Really easy and intuitive once you do it a couple times and way easer than remembering to do an extra step on your keyboard hand.

I saw this topic covered on the apex rollouts reddit glad to see you explaining it for people who aren't there and for better clarity.

A bit late but, (assuming you have default keybinds) hold "c", hold "shift", start un-crouching using shift, W, or anything that gets you un-crouched, and still holding shift, use "c" again, jump

Mokey U HAVE TO SEE THIS!!!! one thing you didn't mention is to make sure auto-sprint is turned on. Only then can you start sprinting while crouch. If sprint is set to toggle its very hard to start sprinting when crouched. and also keep crouch as press to hold. Edit: make sure u holster your weapon before doing this Edit 2: YOU CAN HOLD UR WEAPON AND DO THIS MOVEMENT WITH OCTANE'S STIM HOLY SHIT To sum it up: Crouch > sprint > un-crouch > crouch (slide) > jump (jump)

Bro i just figured out how to tap-strafe on a jump pad to make a 180 turn YESTERDAY and now i have MORE movement to learn😐

You forgot to mention that this quick slide only works after some cooldown, meaning you cant do it constantly there is something like a 3 sec cooldown or you have to run a little like with normal slide jumps. But out of standing still you can always do this

FINNALY A MOVEMNT GUIDE THAT I CAN DO ON CONTROLLER

Here is something fun to try especially anyone on console. Set your Sprint to auto Sprint meaning you will Sprint as long as your holding forward and set toggle crouch and then just hold forward in Spam crouch and thr auto sprint will boost you forward out of the crouch slide right into another.

I guess this also, explains "Circle Jumping" where you turn out of your strafe into a sprint and can 'instantly' slide jump. I thought it was speed-based and didn't realize it was because of some sort of internal timer.

I do this alot to gain instant bhop momentum crouch, jump, turn 90 degrees wherever you want to go, mid air hold A when you turn left or D when you turn right and do your typical bhop

You can also use LSHIFT to start sprinting and iniate the slide-jump right after, less inputs :)

I tried this and found that *if you have crouch set to toggle*, most of the time you won't stand up and re-crouch within 150ms, so you can start standing up at the exact moment you press W and you'll get the slide. I also found that if you're already at max crouch walk/sprint speed, stand up, then press A or D (while continuing to hold W), then re-crouch, you won't get the slide. This actually answered a question I've had about Apex movement since the game came out. You lose fairly significant speed/moment when you transition from moving forward to a diagonal (KBM only, since you can be more fluid with the transition on controller? - This also makes me think that keyboard with pressure-sensitive WASD keys would be a gamechanger for Apex -- and I think that keyboard is actually called Apex-something)

I actually found that almost on accident on controller, I noticed a few hours ago that when I crouch walk for a moment I can instant slide but I didn't know I had to sprint I have auto-sprint on. A friend told me I should watch your video about it

you can instantly slide while crouching after sprinting until your head rises up slightly as long as your weapon is holstered, you can't do it while your weapon is out

Amazing vid thnx mokey! 1 question though: would u have tips for console plays for movement, i feel the only easy enough techs are wall jumps and wallrun(without jumpad one), bunny hops and the punch jumppad tricks. Thw question is are there more console doable techs?

I´m starting to develop a habit of holding down alt and ctrl everytime i crouch now, "alt for sprint" i was always wondering how do they get momentum so fast. Now i know :) ty man!
