In a previous video I attempted to use a spider lift to remove a tree...that did not go according to plan, so lets finish the job with a Caterpillar 308 mini excavator.

At 20,000 pounds it's a touch big to safely haul with my truck, so I have to use the dump truck...I'm in the market for a 12-14,000 pound machine. That will be a better fit for me to pull behind the truck.

@@EverythingElliott no doubt a 12k machine is still very capable. But a 20k machine is in another class of its own.

That kiddos, is the right tool for the job. Skidsteers may be good at many things, but dealing with dead trees is best suited to a excavator.

Skid steers are like the swiss army knife, good at a lot of things, but not as good as the machine designed for the specific task.

304 cr would be good for your pick up to tow….I have a 304 cr and that machine is always working, I have a 312lc for pools and basements and that machine has been out once this year thanks to bidenomics!….always wanted a 308 , but the prices on used equipment is outrageous and the work isn’t there for it….maybe after this election things will get back to normal….matter of fact I bought the 312 6 years ago cash and it worked steady up until 3 years ago and then it sat more and worked less….it only went out 1 time this year!
