Chandler, not only are you so inspiring sharing your 75 hard journey but I appreciate how realistic and down-to-earth you are. I am disabled and although I can't do 75 hard exactly given my conditions, you have been inspiring me to make changes in my life within reason and it's been so wonderful. I almost died of sepsis 2 years ago and was completely bed bound and now I'm going on 30 minute walks every other day with my mobility aid. Seeing you make all of these changes to your life and showing that it is possible has been so inspiring and I can say with certainty that all of these changes add up and they do matter. Keep being you and keep inspiring others to make all of our lives the best they can be! Also Haden might have a point about a wild hogs fanfic 😂
Hi Chandler! I am in a place in FL that was hit pretty hard with Hurricane Helene & Milton. My entire month of October has been so weird & I have really fallen off my routine & this is the first video of yours I’ve been able to watch & I know this probably seems weird but it was really comforting to just listen to you & hear you talk. I hope you have so much fun on your trip!
ugh i am SO sorry, i was watching the news and weather so closely during both of those. i grew up in houston and know how much hurricanes suck, so i'm sending you lots and lots of love rn
Just wanted to say whenever I consistently watch your vlogs, I'm way more motivated & in a much happier mood. I've been busy and haven't been watching RU-vid as much and it's a breath of fresh air coming back and catching up! As for 75 hard - I recommend doing your own spin on the challenge. I think so many of your subscribers would join in if you did some sort of lowkey interactive "challenge" maybe on your Patreon?
The question about calorie counting and disordered behavior is so varied. I've counted calories for like a month or so every once in a while and the last time I did it, my mind went to some really bad places. It had absolutely turned into an unhealthy thing for me, so I stopped and focus on getting myself into a better place again. Recently I picked it up again and it has become an aid in figuring out my emotional eating and how certain foods make my body feel. I can eat chocolate cookies or unhealthy foods without panicking, but man, it really changes your mindset to realize what sits uncomfortably in your stomach and what doesn't. The mere act of calorie counting isn't unhealthy per se, it's how it affects your mental health that does it.
I highly recommend knitting as a hobby. Best decision I ever made. It’s so fun and great to do while listening to an audiobook. Also you get to make cute stuff for yourself! I’m planning to make my dog and I matching sweaters as my next project, I’m very excited about it. We’re gonna be so cute and cozy and not at all annoying or obnoxious
I had NO idea you had two dogs!!!! Like blew my mind! I've seen them occasionally but for some reason thought you were just dog sitting for family. LMAO
Hi Chandler! I'm in medical school and left lower abdominal pain could be ovarian, could be GI stuff (diverticulitis, etc.), could be a weird muscle thing. I can assure you that if you had ovarian torsion you'd know. We're talking SEVERE pain. Would recommend only exercising if you really feel up to it, make sure to rest! Also take some pain relievers and try to sus out how much they help- that's useful info.
For hobbies, you might try wood burning! I was into it for a few years and ended up making everyone’s Christmas gifts one year. Probably my favorite gift giving year and felt very rewarding. + the tools to get started are very minimal.
Audiobook of Pride and Prejudice (and all of Jane Austen) all the way! I've listened to all of Austen's books (and shorter works) this year and it is SO fun! There are many great narrators out there but Alison Larkin has been my favorite!
Re: hobbies - highly recommend crochet as a hobby I feel like i can be really beginner friendly, like you can accomplish some pretty impressive things even with beginner techniques. You just have to be patient enough (which I’m not always lol). I know you said you’re not into gaming, but do you think the competitiveness would extend to solo games? Like maybe something on the cozy side of things like Stardew or Sims? I can be really competitive to the point that I get angry and things aren’t fun, but as long as I’m solo gaming and especially with more farm sim / cozy / story driven games I tend to have a way better time.
i used to like Sims, and i more recently played Animal Crossing but i think for me... it's in this weird space where it doesn't feel relaxing but also doesn't feel like i'm accomplishing anything if that makes sense (as opposed to watching tv & reading)
@@chandlerainsleyvlogs I could totally see that! I felt that way with sims too it’s part of why I haven’t stuck with that game in particular but i have gotten really into Stardew I think because there are built in achievements and story progressions. But that’s besides the point - not trying to convince you or anything really was just genuinely curious!
i’ve been obsessed with skincare since middle school, genetics is very much not on my side for skin sadly 😭 i keep things pretty simple. i use cetaphil to double cleanse, the naturium retinaldehyde, and then a thick moisturizer with aquaphor on top (and then spot treating for acne with drying lotion or zit stickers). AND SUNSCREEN DAILY!!! been using it since 16 (im almost 30)
I reread Twilight recently, went on Goodreads, and saw you had reviewed it a few years ago and mentioned reading it with Hayden for dbbc, but I can't find the video. Is it taken down? I wanted to check out that content
1:03:22 you are def not supposed to feel bad for snow. That is not the vibe at all. Also its good to point out that you are only seeing things from snows pov. So if you feel like Lucy is not well fleshed out, that is because district kids are dehumanized by the capitol kids. I didn’t love the book, but these are very obvious observations and the political ties are there for sure. I don’t think that is where the criticism should lie
random but you and hayden talking about reading dark lover i need to know your thoughts on the bdb movie from passionflix please tell me y’all will be watching 👀
