If you hear anything interesting/enlightening about those deep chest pains please share because I feel like it's similar to something I've been experiencing!
I highly suggest a menstrual cup or a disc. They're awkward at first but I don't dread my period anymore now that I switched to them. Also great for exercising!
hey! just wanted to say thank you for your vlogs, it's really encouraging to listen to your methods and advices and what you do to make something a habit. Can relate to PCOS and insulin resistance and weight loss so it is nice to get to know and listen what you do and it motivates me, thank you! <3
Highly recommend trying hot yoga! I did it at least once a week in college and I always looked forward to it for some stress relief! Especially in the fall. The cool breeze hitting me when I left after sweating a puddle 😮💨 so so nice
I am also on a similar health journey and I appreciate your candidness and don't find it silly at all. It is a breath of fresh air with this type of content. I am not hear for unrealistic restrictions and find that life varies week to week. Giving ourselves room to adapt and find what works for us each day is important.
You should be so damn proud of yourself for losing 10 pounds. Not easy to do and not easy to do as a woman. Also: I actually think a bathroom would be a space where a washable rug may make good sense? In terms of preventing mold/moisture or something. But I completely agree with you about no washable rug for massive family room space. How would you get in it washer at that size anyway??!
i think it depends on size of bathroom for moisture/mold. ours doesn't get very humid honestly (we had a full size rug in there before we renovated and it was fine)
the Gaiam No-Slip Yoga Towels are the BEST - I'm a yoga teacher and also majorly a sweaty hands person. The Gaiam ones are fully rubber on the back and will not move at all during class. The top/front of the towel is a grippy soft microfiber. Super absorbent and the whole thing can go in the washer just fine. Every time I have to practice yoga without one, I fly around the mat, so I really can't recommend them enough!
Oooooh girl. Yes, I found you a couple of months ago because the miscarriage video was suggested to me on youtube, but I also started to binge watch your videos because I am really enjoying them lol I just have to comment on the projecting emotions part. After my D&C, admittedly I was 8 weeks pregnant but the baby stopped growing at 6 weeks so it was early, it felt weird for me in the sense of yes I'm sad I lost my first baby, but I was okay. I had done so much research during pregnancy and read how common it was to miscarry that I always had it in the back of my mind and I did have odd feelings that something was going to happen then it did. I was also okay because for me I viewed my miscarriage positively in the sense that my body knew something was not right and it was preventing my baby from growing and potentially suffering or passing after being born. Thinking that way - my body is amazing. So after my miscarriage, I felt at peace. I was not upset, but the stages of grief and my hormones did not convey that at all lol. I was crying at one point and I told my husband it's frustrating because I feel fine, yet my body just physically does stuff like crying and I have no control over it...and my man responded, "Well, you're obviously not okay." That turned into a very ugly fight 🤣 sheeeeesh. I think it took a bit to get him to comprehend why what he said really did not sit well with me.
i'm so sorry people have the audacity to give "advice" or rather unnecessary commendation on your personal fertility journey. The fact that most of the time those comments come from people who actually no idea the how or why or what PCOS is. My husband and I have gotten a lot of that "advice" as well while trying to get pregnant and its always from those who have no idea what it is or how it effects the body at all or its correlation with fertility! I defiantly get where your coming from on that side of things and we've taken to saying "Our journey is ours alone and we have a team of amazing doctors, which you are not, your advice isn't appreciated and maybe do your research before giving unsolicited advice on subjects you know nothing about. " yes it maybe harsh but we've gotten so many at this point... we don't care lol.
I’ve been loving seeing all these videos & haven’t for a second thought you were silly (it’s actually motivated me to consider my own exercise routine!) Also, I would super super recommend the Liforme Yoga mats - zero slip ever! (Also Vlogust would be SO good!!!!)
Jeez, I'm sorry you're getting annoying comments about your pcos/infertility, how rude!! I'm enjoying hearing about your health journey, it inspired me to get on my treadmill more, just to have a walk while watching netflix, and get more steps in each day, and to also try increasing my protein too, helps with the snacking lol 😅
I wish I had your mind set when it comes to meal planning. I have an eating disorder and I have to keep track of numbers to make sure I’m getting enough protein, calories and all that and I hate it. It’s so exhausting and frustrating.
Yes!! as a pcos gal, dieting in general does help TONS with pain, more so even lowering carbs etc only time it is ever significantly reduced for me. <3
Pilates is my favorite workout! I use Class Pass and I love it, it even has facials and other beauty stuff too!! For more cardio I’ll do an occasional spin class and walk 3 miles a day!
How I adore these long daily vlogs... I am so glad to see you happy and to see your journey in finding what's good and healthy for you and your body without promoting insane goals and unreal expectations. Of course, we have to take care of our bodies and eating fast food every other day is not going to cut it, but that does not mean that you cannot find balance. For me the hardest part is not even food - I usually only eat out on fridays and Saturday nights - but exercising is so hard... I still did not find an activity that I enjoy doing but now seeing you trying all these different things has been inspiring me so much!!
I love your weight loss approach! It’s important to make your approach sustainable and enjoyable because losing/maintaining weight is a lifelong project. So many people forget this.
I’ve been doing my own dip nails since 2020 and I’ll never go back to gel because of how strong it makes my nails. I use the liquids from a company called sparkle and co and you literally only have to wait a minute or two after applying the top coat and it’s perfect every time
personally no. i find that when i take breaks i have a hard time getting back to it. that’s why im trying to make sure that a lot of the movement is low impact and not intense :)
@@chandlerainsleyvlogs ya I get that, once you take a day off it’s so easy to take another.. and another… I’m sure getting into the habit of just doingSOMETHING each day is huge. Way to go! Hoping I get to jump on the exercise train now that I had some medical stuff settled, also keeping fingers crossed for better periods after a recent d&c procedure.
Exercising regularly has drastically changed my period. I lost my period for like 2 months and I toned down the working out and it came back pretty normally, so it’s definitely interesting
Just wanted to say I haven't found anything silly about you changing up your fitness goals as you find out what works for you. In fact, I've found it super motivational to see you adjusting things, not always getting it right the first time, and continuing to try and see progress. I feel like a lot of fitness content comes from people who already have it all figured out, and it can make me feel very inadequate in comparison. Seeing your approach has been very refreshing.
I've had a similar experience with weight loss. I started eating in a calorie deficit about a month ago and I'm down 7 pounds. I've been surprised at how much easier it is than I expected? My whole life I've thought I had to cut out entire food groups or do something crazy restrictive, but it has been so eye opening to see how small daily changes can make a difference. I'm still eating things I enjoy! I am just being more mindful than before.
Personally, I love your outlook on weight loss and your approach to building a healthy lifestyle (not just a diet) I’ve struggled with my weight and had a pretty serious ed and I struggle with it a lot. I’ve tried to curate my feed so I’m no longer seeing problematic approaches (although I can see that if that works for them and they’re happy (kind of doubt that if they’re starving but 🤷🏻♀️) ) but I really appreciate you discussing it in a way to treat your body with kindness, we only have one body so we have to look after it and that means eating nutritious food for our physical body but also having things that nourish our souls and make us happy because if we’re not happy then literally what is the point? All this to say I love you and I hope you stay true to your intuition with fitness, health and trusting yourself 💗 you know your body best✨
I’ve heard so many people say that lower impact movement and gentler things on your body have really been great. I do yoga and really enjoy it and it causes less stress on your body than weight training does, although weight training can be greatly beneficial for muscle retention when you get older. I’m nervous to start weight training it’s something I’ve wanted to do but kind of embarrassed when I set the machines at the lowest weight but everyone has to start somewhere right? Really enjoyed this vlog and all of the updates. I love that you’re trying new things it’s really inspiring me to be adventurous with trying new activities and finding joy again. 💗
the gym can definitely be intimidating, i think that's what keeps most people from weight training. but honestly, no one will even be looking at what weight u have on a machine (tbh most of the time the weight tower is kind of hidden from view so even if people were curious it wouldnt be easy to see what you're lifting lol). you got this if you wanna try it!
