Sounds like maybe a couple silica packets are in order. Hell, they put those things in everything. I wonder how much they would help because those ccrm boxes aren't exactly a "sealed" unit.
back behind the engine between it and the firewall and ac tank and heater lines there is a wiring harness with 6 prong sealed plug on my 3.8 04 does anyone have any idea what this connection is for? is it service? aftermarket?
I have a 2001 3.8 V6. Fan coms on, power at ac pressure sensor, and the pressure sensor appears to be working. But ac clutch is working intermittently. It can go 20 minutes with no cold air while on high. Could it still be the ccrm?
Actually that sounds like a classic case of low freon or the pressures are not in the correct range. If you have a set of manifold gauges for checking AC Freon, hook it up and see what they are. I bought a set of Amazon for under $150 and work great.
Not sure if your still on here, having a similar problem. Electric fan pops the 60 amp fise as soon as i turn the air-conditioning on. Any help would be greatly appreciated
Blowing that high a fuse is probably the electric fan motor(s). They are probably bad and need replacement. Unhook the connection to the fan(s) and put in a new fuse, it if doesn't blow that is your answer. Good luck!
@@reginaldbrown8659 if you unhook the fans does it still blow the fuse? Also check the ground wire and the plug end of the fans. Sometimes they melt and can be touching.
Can anyone tell me how to tell if my CCRM is bad or if it is the PCM the main computer? My issue is no spark and no fuel on a 2.0 liter motor the wires going to the ccrm module do not appear to be chewed. A guy pulled in to his buddy's driveway and the vehicle started to run rough somewhat I guess then it died and wouldn't start after that. No check engine light came on. After checking out fuses and wiring and a few other things signs are pointing to either the PCM or the CCRM but I cannot confirm which part it is. I don't want to just start throwing money down the drain spending hundreds of dollars on an old car
@@98saleen no this is a 2.0 l motor and this is on an escort so far. I put a new computer in it spent a hundred bucks replaced the PCM and I still got no spark, no fuel and no communication with the odb2 port verified good grounds. My next step is to try and get a CCRM module from a junkyard My only concern Is that I will be back to the same problem in a few months or a year who knows how long another module will last. I'd like to have found a new one or a reworked one
@@98saleen well I'm at the point where I'm ordering a CCRM module and I'm going to install that and hopefully I get spark and fuel. I don't think a bad timing belt would cause me to not have a spark and fuel. I don't even hear the pump kicking in
Assuming you have a mid 90's Lincoln, It should be on passenger side. You need to take tire off, then inner fender plastic off and you will see it next to the air ride pump or abs unit. It should be a black box with fins on the back. It will have one big plug on it.
Hey man not sure if you’re still active here but mines doing the opposite. As soon as I turn the key on the fan starts runnin and the ccrm is making this weird whirrin sound any guess what it might be?
