Stand by your principles and never allow companies to push you around. We are underpaid and over regulated as it is. Plenty of options out there anyway.

Good to hear you are finally moving on. Keedwells didn't sound like a good fit for you really as things were wearing on. This new company sounds ideal, a paid day rate (or even salaried!) is what most HGV drivers strive for now. Worked in the industry myself for 20 years and knew exactly where you were coming from with the hourly pay and irregular weeks, and having to do sudden nights out. I myself dropped off the long distance work for exactly that reason, and went back to local and night trunking (its one of the few things where you tend to do the same run every night, fixed routes and deliveries, its ideal in some ways).

Well done Jenko, new company sounds much better for you onwards and upwards. Hopefully Jay has as much courage as you.

Well said about the vlogging and fair play if you enjoy it and your fan base etc why give it up plus I am no RU-vidr and I don,t mean it bad but a plus point it's bound to supplement your income. New job sounds good I am no trucker so don't know if hourly or daily pay is better now here's to new beginnings and different work and Lorries

Best of luck Jenko, hope it works out well. Another idea of vlogs could be “Jenko at home”, this would show you sitting eating your tea, having a joke with Claire, going to Tesco and seeing what you buy, doing a bit of gardening etc etc

smh companies are too worried about losing a good reputation. It’s sad that a few complaining customers can just ruin someone’s hobby. I support your decision to leave, just be careful about what you say on camera. You definitely don’t want every company you choose to drive for; banning vlogging cause of complaints.

Fairwell to whoever because the truth is you won't be missed (nothing personal) but there's always another driver round the corner, 34 years on the road and this games changed vastly, I've watched some of these 'road legends' and they're pop up muppets with big egos. Good luck in your new venture.

Keedwells are known for treating drivers like shit!!!

It sounds like you have made a Good Decision and wish you the best. It seames like a lot of the Big transport companies are cracking down on Vloging, Probably manly for liability and also to cover up some of the bad bits from being shown or talked about. But they are well within there rights to do. But as you have proven by this there is always other driving jobs, the best company’s I’ve worked for tend to be small to medium size family ones especially when you know you’re big boss and he/she sleeks to you.

Typical companies, Really filming was actually helping Keedwell and the companies you deliver too cause it's basically free Marketing for them.

Just watched the Return to Keedwells and the Goodbye to keedwells videos back to back. Interesting. Reading the comments it seems that companies put more and more load on their regulars to the extent that they quit. Then they are nice to the new guys for a while. Is that the general run of things?

I’m not being funny but you and jay are if anything representing keedwell in a professional manner that is being broadcasted to not just the average viewer but potential customers requiring a haulier etc. Just seems like a boardroom topic that they wanted brushed under the carpet. I don't think you did anything wrong, probably just a couple of customers who are a bit touchy about their reputation for keeping drivers hanging about for hours waiting to load or tip! They should be "outed" in my view, these delays can wipe out any profit made by the haulier on the load, indeed, I know a company that stopped doing work to a particular customer as they seemed to use the incoming truck as free warehouse space!

How legitimate are these complaints anyway, sounds like a load of crap a company having their name mentioned in a vlog would complain about it. It is basically free advertising for them anyway. The only thing I can think as to why it might be an issue for a company is they dont want people knowing what is being transported as it may increase the risk of theft but still I doubt how likely that is as well. I wonder if you guys making these vlogs are still getting the job done in a timely manner compared with truckers that dont vlog? I could see that being a reason for them to stop you from doing it if it takes you longer to do your work. Not saying that is the case, just asking the question.

Hi mate, it’s a shame that you are leaving but you know the haulage game as well as I do. It hasn’t changed one bit since I left 15 years ago which your channel has proved to me time and time over again, I was lucky to work for a great company in the end but it was the job and daft hours that killed it for me. I am very interested in your new adventure as your new company are just down the road from me, I have had my eye on them for a while now just in case I do decide to get back into the game. I enjoyed my little time doing container work, so much down time it was crazy. Fingers crossed for you mate, good luck.

Good luck in the new job Jenko. Containers can be pain to unload usually handball has they like to use every inch. Sometimes their is pressure on the driver to get the customer to unload it quickly so they can get it back in circulation. May need to lay on charm a bit at times, best of luck mate.

Life's too short to be doing a job you don't enjoy. Unfortunately the vast majority of the population spend more time at work or commuting than they do at home so you've got to be content with what you do. It takes guts to say no this isn't right I need to move on and while it's not easy to start somewhere new I'm a firm believer that a change is as good as a rest. Good luck with the next chapter and keep up the good work

best of luck with the new job next week. don't forget to set the Sat-Nag to the new yard as POI rather than Keedwell's yard on Monday, as too easy to fall into habbit at the end of the day to just go into auto-pilot and drive to the wrong location especially in the first few days.

Hope you are a keen reader, because you will certainly need some hobby to pass the hours of waiting you will get working on containers. If it's not waiting for your box, it will be the whole day spent waiting for a couple of eastern European agency workers to unload you. Good luck.

Surprised they did that to you and Jay, but equally surprised they couldn't had spoken to you both and came up with some sort of arrangements where perhaps you don't film near your tip/loading points but could record the rest of the journey. But I spose the old saying "the customers always right" and thats the over reaction they took. at least your new job sounds promising though.

You seem a top bloke mate from what I’ve seen if you, shame companies don’t appreciate that. The other side to the coin is these vlogs get people interested in coming into the industry and lets face it we need all the new drivers we can get. Kids aren’t allowed to travel with their dads in the holidays in this days and age what with health & safety rules. I used to work for Keedwell out of Haydock it’s not a bad place to work but you get a lot of grief from hensal depot went to wincanton containers what a change no grief no phone calls it’s great
