I used to wash my car with fairy when I was a 18 year old kid. It cleans very well but I found that car gets dirty again very quick, fairy strips away any wax and car becomes a dust and sand magnet, you dont even need to drive anywhere, wind blows and its all dusty again. So switched to dedicated car shampoo with added wax its still very cheap at 1eur/liter but clean effect lasts longer. I still use fairy for other things, yearly deep wash of textile floor mats with stiff brush, fairy and garden hose, monthly magic sponge and fairy scrub of leather seats and steering wheel, also for muddy scooters, bicycles, boots. Truly my favorite general purpose degreasing / cleaning product so far
I found that Fairy in the foam gun worked just the same as the overpriced snow foam when I decided to give our trash cans a good clean. Couldn't believe how good it was. Just one small tip, put the water in the gun first then add the Fairy liquid.
As pre wash it might but you can add more protection after. Besides there are way harsher chemicals used. Just make sure you clean, take causion and add more protections
I tried this yesterday before even watching this. I had run out of snow foam. It worked, yours has foamed so much more though. But I didn't put water in the actual bottle. Will try it next time, can't believe I have been paying so much for snow foam.
@@andrewcolbourne5124 that would be the case, but he will be applying new protection. Essentially this is decontamination to strip off all traffic film and contaminants from the bodywork. pH neutral soaps do nothing really to clean.
Yes, thats correct, I did this before applying new Soft Fusso 99 👍 but I think the wax can survive more like 10 washes, I didnt find it really aggressive to the paint or wax..
Yes it removed the dirt really well, I tried this becauae I wanted it to remove the wax before polisihing the car. I think it removes wax but not wetcoats and that kind of products. Only wax based products I think..
Fairy usually is green, but who knows.. Also please don't use it to wash your car since it's only meant to remove grease from your DISHES. But i'm not going to prevent you.
Funny how you used red fairy liquid and then once you were foaming the vehicle the fairy liquid turned green! Obviously when you foamed the vehicle you used another product.
@@nordicgloss Things these days are developed on a very scientific level, with soaps very specifically formulated on a biological level for specific use cases and applications. Fairy liquid is designed to activate and work with dishes in the kitchen, not plastic, rubber, and metal on your car and the paintwork, lacquer and waxes that may exist.
@@jamesfoo8999 nah, dishsoap is quite kind to paintwork, only thing is that its very effective to remove fat and waxes in the longrun, and it will make your paintwork dried out if used on the car. So Yes its not made for cars, but its not dangerous to use. Actually its very effective to prepare paintwork for new wax or polishing.
