Recently done some deconstruction myself and have come to an honest stance of being agnostic for many of the reasons you’ve stated. Keep up your search for truth and much love for the transparency in your walk. Coming from faith is not an easy road…especially being surrounded by a culture of those who consider critical skepticism arrogant or blasphemous.
I am so glad you are posing those questions bro. I met you a while ago back on your poets in Autumn tour in Orlando. You inspired me to learn guitar and sing after seeing you perform "Most beautiful" at a funeral in Georgia. I know your stance on Christianity has changed, but definitely take your time to continue doing your research and studies on existentialism. I maybe a bit forward about what I am about to say next, but I know that God is tugging at your heart. Keep searching and questioning and you'll eventually reap the benefits are what you are looking for. I pray that God reveals himself to you in a mighty way. Much Love
I’m no longer afraid of feeling like I’m wasting life. How can one waste life? Out of the infinite choices one can make in a lifetime, there are still infinite choices. Life is never wasted anywhere. I absolutely understand the personal statement of wanting to make your time count here while you have it. I get it.
@@Lil08103 To me that’s not wasting life. It’s your time and you can do as little or as much with it as you want. But to posit that a life can be wasted because of a lack of tangible external productivity like achievements and successful goal setting is a myopic viewpoint and misses the individual life lived versus the consensus of what society says is a life lived. Clearly this is a subjective topic because those who don’t have a lot to show outwardly for their lives could be very proud of how they lived versus those who achieved a lot and still weren’t satisfied at the end. To me, neither scenario implicates waste of life more than preference of how the time was spent.
Change your MIND. if it's an intellectual issue, that might be easy! If we are basing it off turth, facts, etc. But I hope you find the truth brotha. 🙏🏽
Jesus came to break us from human logic of how we think God operates to depend on the spirit so we can have access to the unlimited ways God operates. Life is spiritual.
You havre the right to change your mind....Jesus has already proven himself to me. I am never offended by your faith or lack of faith....You will have millions of people that support you and share your unbelief...my testimony of God's goodness is over 25 years old. My faith is not based on organized religion. I think being honest and curious is a great way to discover God's truth. Your honesty does not offend me because there are people in the pulpit even pastoring who sharr you're beliefs but don't have the guts to be honest about it. Thank you for being honest
Hey Joe you should check out Michael Haiser if you haven’t before.. he has some pretty interesting views. I was an atheist for a very long time and didn’t grow up in any type of church setting(outside of Catholic) but I ended up coming to the faith at 21. I hope that you continue in your journey of curiosity and that in that you find resolve with your faith in Christ. I appreciate seeing you live in the tension of the unknown while you process out loud for the world to see. Blessings to you 🧡
had no idea u had a youtube. video was recommended in the algorithm. i know u via music. intriguing dialogue. im an ex-christian removed 10yrs who was also an active christian educator. for no other reason that felt "called" to leave bc the church/religion was a limiting space for who and what i was experiencing God to be. it was difficult bc .. honestly, being a black hetero christian at a black church was kinda lit but ... i am so much better after. look forward to catching up on the other videos. thank u.
@@kb7522 Sure. Experiencing God meaning introduced to other ways to pray or be prayer-centric (i.e. meditation) which was an invitation to experience God and love differently along with other energetic modalities. this was outside the confines of the framework of the christian theology and tradition of my experience and deferred to as "demonic" in nature. i just find many religions want you to experience God in a specific way through a specific framework and ... and i just find that far too limiting. hope this helps
Thank you for sharing. I’ve realized I was operating in so much shame, hate being done in the name of Jesus/Gid and disheartened by my churches lack of resistance to fascism and the state executions of Black people- I couldn’t do it any longer. Also the elevation of false prophets who advocated for no vaccines which killed millions- it broke my heart. I’m looking into the Baháʼí Faith.
Everything is faith, rationality is faith in rationality, and not only in rationality, but in your capacity to be rational and accurately so. But real faith comes by the spirit, and once you grow in it, you learn more and more how it’s not just blind. Indeed, you will see that things are backwards, outside of faith is blind. “The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are spiritually discerned. “1 Corinthians 2:14.
