Faith is a beast. Yea she's known for her soft and melodious voice but she can go into an uproar when needed. She has one of the voices that when her songs comes on the radio you know its her. She has a distinctive voice. The 1st Lady of Hip-Hop & R&B!!
i love Faith so much ive heard her sing this song strong and sing it softly.shes so versatile and she can sing with the best of em high notes low notes and in between shes a master of the studio and live Faith is in a league if her own
I've loved Faith since her debut! I think she's truly talented & I love her voice. I also read her book and it was a great read! I admire her for all that she's been through and she's still standing! Keep the FAITH!! I wish her continued success in all that life will bring!
She was a songwriter...she only did backups on the songs she wrote...and she also sung demos for Al B Sure for the songs he was shopping out to other artists.
Aretha writes and plays piano, so don't underestimate her either. Aretha has sang everything from soul to Opera , she is a very talented lady... as is Faith. Faith has the voice and is a talented songwriter. Both ladies are great at what they do. Much respect to Aretha and Faith.
I just love my girls in 702 on backup. They were by far the most underrated girl group ever. I have no clue why people slept on them and still sleep on Faith Evans....
Actually is just as talented as Aretha and maybe even more cuz she writes and arranges mainly all her songs and have been wrote and collaborated with almost the whole industry. She has laid vocals on everything from Country to Gospel music. So she is just as talented as Aretha.
Faith's strentgh is her tone and smooth delivery . her range is not int he league of whitney or mariah but she is a great singer especially since she does not over sing.
I wouldnt mind faith evans being the queen of r&b but I never knew they gave her that tiltle before. The first lady of bad boy yeah I know that. I always was told that Mary j blige was the queen of r&b/soul and aretha franklin was queen of soul.Ashanti was princess of hip hop soul.
she does sound like karen clark a lil bit, on the real...i always thought so, but of course if you know ur shit you would know the diff, but if you dont it would fool you.. i luv them both, faiths the shit.
hey, don't compare nobody to the queen of soul. That's her title and she rightfully earned it. Although the queen of r&b should have went to faith and not mary.
You're right you aren't nuts just no informed. Aretha is still performing also. She has just released an album. She has been making the rounds on TV. She has never just "sat on her title". Faith isn't near the talent Aretha is. I like Faith and she has a wonderful soulful voice but to say that Aretha needs to sit down is crazy. Ever since Aretha been on top it's been another artist people saying was the next Queen. It hasn't happen yet and it will never will.
Man I had no idea Faith was such an incredible singer!!! Why isn't she more popular, something is very wrong here. I think she leaves Mary J in the dust! Mary can't even sing on key for goodness sake. As far as Aretha goes - please - in her prime Faith couldn't touch her, and Mary could not even stand on the same stage. As for you critics - are you aware of how GREAT of a piano player Aretha is? How can you be so dismissive? Peace.
cant believe Meelah from 702 is a backing singer!?!?!?! ---------- I KNOW!Thats got to be kind of depressing as an artist or maybe humbling is a better word for it. But anyway, this performance shows that Faith is naturally pretty 'cause she doesn't even look like she's wearing ANY makeup!
Why do we always compare people. Everyone is unique in their own way. Everyone wants to be recognized for their own unique talents and strides. We always want to push up someone to push them to the side and look for the new one or next one. Faith is talented in her own right. Aretha will always have her props. Mary J. is talented in her own right. Faith is often overlooked but she is no struggling artist. She is doing okay. Thanks for the post. Love this Song Again.
