It's a Faith No More's video in Nulle Part Ailleurs, they played Ashes To Ashes at Cannes Festival. 08/05/1997 Une vidéo de FNM à Cannes lors de l'émission en direct du Festival de Cannes.
+Jennifer Jade Fuck yeah, with the sexy waves and the mountains on the back. They're wearing suits. It is, in fact, too much kfnasnasp;napgapgapdbsdkb sd
I saw them twice, 1995 and 1997 :) two freaking awesome shows...especially the vocal performance !!!! No words can really describe it, but I gotta tell you I'm a musician and a singer, and Mr Patton sure knows how to sing and blow our brains out ;)
such a wonder ful song with Wonderfull MP in a wonderfull background (deep in the ocean..)Nice moment I use to watch when I feel down!!precious stuff for sure...
I have been lucky enuff to see FNM twice! I saw the Real Thing tour and Album of the Year tour. The former was sold out and me and some others were bummed out smoking some happy when Mike Bordin (drummer) came walking by. I told him we couldn't get in and he told us to wait a minute. The next thing I know their road manager comes outside, leads us to the door, and puts us on the guest list!!!! FNM RULES and thanks Mike Bordin!
Went and Saw Mike live last Saturday at MoFo, Tasmania, Australia and he was in fine form. His voice is still so powerful and he was having so much fun with tetema. An amazing vocalist, a aural chameleon. Happy Birthday Mike 49 years young..
The guitarist in this live is Jon Hudson, who joined the band for Album of The Year (1997) . Jim Martin - 1984/1994 Trey Spruance - 1995 Dean Menta - 1995/1996 Jon Hudson - 1996-...
Such a cinematic piece of footage, fitting that it is taking place at Cannes and they are: "smiling with the mouth of the ocean" Mike Bordin is the shit! =)
I saw FNM live here in Australia 95 and 97 - Two of the best gigs I have ever been to - I remember getting goosebumps at the 97 concert when this song ended, thanks for posting!
Mike Patton, best voice ever and no exageration. Very nice person got his autograph twice in Los Angeles. Very cool inteligent guy! Mike a buy hug from Buenos Aies Argentina, If you come to Argentina, let's go have stake at your favourite place in Town here, Asador Criollo!!!!
I've been looking for this song for so loong! Finally i found it again... Heard it in 1998 or so for the first time and since then i wanted to hear it again. But forgot its name-.- Thx for posting!!!
I saw them that year. They hated each other and barely looked at each other on stage. They were in a terrible mood. Seeing a DVD from their more harmonic days may be a more rewarding experience.
i love faith no more but i hadnt seen any of their videos so i did a bit of youtubing. i started searching and found low quality early 90's videos, where they were running around in tshirts and shorts with long hair being strange. that was all good, and then i watch this video and theyre all wearing suits with short hair. good job growing up fnm :) great song/video too.
MIKE PATTON is the best singer ever! he can sing anything in any style!..he's so unique, he has a lot of great colaborations and projects than others, and..he is hot xD
that drummer has better hair than even I do. what a feat..the bastard. I have been searching for this song for 10 years- I love technology. this song never got enough airplay in detroit.
omg, what a great live sound, its like a studio sound they sound like the album. faith no more back in the day was years in front of any band out there And i enjoy the new stuff also.
actually this is a great band, flawless performance. Hope rock someday return to how it was in the 80's and 90's, not the shit of noise of this decade.
I just noticed that Mr. Bordin plays the ride and hi-hat with his left hand. That's what my old drum teacher used to teach all his students and it makes sense, when you think about it, if you're right-handed and you want to be smashing the snare with your dominant hand.
Yes, it was shot during a French live show, Nulle Part Ailleurs. And it was outside during the Cannes Film Festival. It's completely live and shows how amazing is Patton.
Nice. I've been looking for this full clip for, oh, 9 years now! HLK (anyone remember bungle fever) i belive posted a short clip of this back in 97 on cv which ended just after the first chorus. Thanks!
in all seriousness thanks for posting this vid. i never got to see FNM live. this is everything i hoped it would be. sharks below the drummer? possibly? wtf.
It's amazing the contrast between FNM's slacker image during the '80s and the suit-and-tie guise they adopted in their post-Jim Martin days. Only other band I can think of that made such a radical image transition is the Smashing Pumpkins (neo hippie -> band next door -> Victorian goth).
it wasn't a gig, just one song in a french TV song called "Nulle Part Ailleurs" (that means "Nowhere esle"). Enjoy this song in the front of the sea, it's the only one.
