Josef Hautala No, Miles Kennedy is awesome at what he does, Axl Rose was a fantastic singer in Guns n Roses. And so on. Patton is ju awesome at everything. Any style, any genre, anything. No. 1.
This group is the true responsible for heavy rock evolution in the 90s. We owe everything to them, and I shall be in debt forever. Their stuff is unique and unrepeatable.
I absolutely hated this album when it came out but after many years it's become my personal favorite FNM album. It's solid from front to back and very diversified. Good stuff.
Same. I got it as a bday present as a 10 year old and just didn’t understand it really. They’re all a bit weird, but that’s what makes them the most important band of probably 2 generations
You hated it? What was it that you didn't like? What was it lacking for you? I'm not judging I'm just curious. It's definatwly more straight forward ,kind of stripped back than angel dust but I loved it. It's definately heavier. That being said to me angel dust is something extremely special that hadn't and will never happen again. There will never be another band that sounds like them and never will be
The drummer is very impressive as well. I love it when the floor toms are involved into keeping the beat throughout the entire chorus or a verse. Most drummers save them for drumrolls, or changes into a bridge or a guitar solo. They otherwise use only the kick with the snare for the main job. Mike Bordin changed my mind on that. It's a totally different feel when the floor toms cooperate with the kick for the main beat.
truly one of the most innovative and inspiring. We all owe them the same way than to other legendary bands that set the basis, like Led Zeppelin or Deep purple did before.
The only singer I know that can perform at 11/10 or at 2/10. He can never do anything in between. Either abbysmal or a masterpiece of a performance! Never just great or good or average. Ever!
imagine if this album came out a few years later when System of a down and Disturbed went big. This album would have been a big hit. FNM were always a little ahead of the game.
Exceptionally excellent on acid in Tampa as a REALLY GOOD fun time! Hotel fridge , A/C & Mike - add alcohol and enjoy. A life long memory. I'm also ugly in the morning! LOL!
