The thing I love about this band is that they look like a bunch of misfits that were stuck in an Elevator for days and decided to put this band together. You have Mike from Accounts Payable on Keyboards, the Aerobics instructor on Vocals, The Rastafarian with the good grass on Drums, the Head banger IT guy on guitar, Dave the bike messenger on Bass

Maybe. He is older, and a lot of singers cant go high like when they were younger. But also, remember that he was singing the song on the album in a vocal booth, live you have to move around and sing multiple songs, so if he was relaxed, he could probably hit those same notes.
I saw a video of them playing this song on SNL in 1990 and even then he wasn't singing it like the album. He probably can't sing it like that anymore, it still sounds great.
