I am basically with you . How about fathers and mothers!! Mothers seem to take the short end of the stick , though they do so much of the work , yet , get none of the credit!!!!!! The one saving female in the Catholic Church teaching is Mary! Praise the Lord!!! If you really get the absolute Love Mary displayed and represents to humanity as a whole, you would come to realize that any “Male domiinated “ institution is way out of balance!!! There absolutely needs to be a balance between ( what is called female and male energies) these energies!
Salve Maria!!!
God bless you all Saying faith of our father does not been that our mothers faith are not acknowledged. For the man was before her. Eve was in adam at creation and later brought out. So sometimes when God says a MAN, he is referring to both female and male at the same time It's just orderliness not that God do not acknowledged our beloved mothers. The birth of our lord Jesus would not have been possible if we don't have mothers that dedicate themselves and have faith in God
This is a picture of St Isaac Jouges who tried to evangelize the Iroquios Indians of upper New York and Canada. He was tortured and had some of his fingers torn and bitten off. He went back and continued to try to bring them the faith! Great saint.
It might be in "Thirty-four hymn descants" published in 1948 by H.W. Gray. Bruce Larsen's sacred music collection is housed at St. John's University in Minnesota. You can search the collection at www.csbsju.edu/libraries/special-collections/collections/music-collections#sacredmusicsearch
This hymn was written in 1849 to honor the Catholic English martyrs under Henry VIII and Elizabeth I by Fredrick William Faber. It was a shame that people who called themselves Christians killed fellow Christians just so Henry could divorce his Spanish wife Katherine and marry the sister of one of his many mistresses, Anne Bolyn, for a male heir. Like Korah who rebelled against Moses in Numbers 16, this was a rebellion against papal authority which for the first 1500+ years of Christian History was assumed and practiced through interpretation of Scripture.
