I’ve been looking for this answer for so long. I couldn’t understand why God was telling me to be still when clearly he knows I need a job and I’ve been looking for a long time. I trust him to find me a job in a healthy work environment, where I can make friends and grow my skills and stay there long term so that I can get my own apartment. AMEN! This is so true from my experience. I've lost my previous job during the pandemic in 2020. In December 2021, I knelt down in prayer telling God "Lord, I entrust everything to you. I will not apply any job on my own. I know you have a solid plan for me." And soon, I received a call from the company I really liked and offered me a job and now I am promoted. All because of God. AMEN!

Dear Deborah, I am literally coming off a day of wrestling with faith vrs works. Tomorrow my rent is due , I'm also praying for a car. I wasn't sure how to exercise faith but told the landlord I'll have the money tomorrow whilst thinking "But Lord how?" I told my son we would have a new car soon after I test drove my dream car " then saying Lord, how" then I asked the Holy Spirit to show me what to do to exercise my faith so I can receive from ABBA Father because I know our needs have been provided for already. Being a single mum to a special needs child has been quite overwhelming and I'm always asking for strength and support from the Lord thru His Grace. I will continue to speak Ps 84:11 and in faith believe for it. God bless you for this awesome word of wisdom❤

Keeping a guard concerning the voices of others is important. When others are speaking something contrary to what your spirit knows God is saying causes unrest and confusion. His ways aren’t our ways so it often looks contrary to common sense. I have had to lock out well meaning friends and family from speaking over me without knowing how God is working in me. I appreciate their heart, but I’ve learned not to open myself up to voices counter to Holy Spirit. I have been in this place many times, and in fact am in this place now.
Yes absolutely! You're so right in saying that what God is telling us to do often seems to go against common sense, against the natural. Holding onto him and keeping our eyes fixed is key! So that when confusion does come, we can be sensitive to the voice of the Holy Spirit directing us. Yes, I'm definitely guilty of doing this as well! But God wants to lead us to that place where we place our trust in him fully from the beginning. Like you said: us trying to meddle with things usually delays things anyways haha. He knows that, so he want's to lead us to the place where our trust in him is without borders, so we can experience all he has for us 🤗

What I’ve learned is sometimes faith with work is ACTUALLY being still. The act of not trying to take things in my own hands and according to my limited human understanding and trusting God … specially with things I’ve already tried to do myself and seem like a shut door everytime. Trusting the Lord will come through for me is what the Lord calls faith at work 🙌🏻🙏🏻

I wish I could express just how much God is using you to reach poeple. I am very much in the same situation of needing a place and have been struggling with whether constantly looking for apartments after believing that God will provide one is me acting in faith or lack of faith. This video is an answer to prayer, and I just wanna say thank you and I pray that God will continue to work through you.
I have wrestled with this dichotomy my entire life. Never knowing which aisle to be on or more specifically, bouncing back and forth between the two tirelessly trying to unlock the perfect combination. Which has lead to me burning out so many times in my life.
Very substantial, Sis! I'm literally in between the two right now and the Holy Spirit is leading me and helping me to obey and don't counteract anything right now in my life and I thank Him. As I wrote earlier in the comment section of the "Apartment Testimony" and one of the "Faith Talks" videos, I don't have a job, I've been admitted into a university in the USA and have no funding and I need a sponsorship, etc, with regards to the admission and needs sponsorship aspect, like who haven't I contacted, I applied to the school's scholarship but didn't qualify for it, I did all I could but nothing and now all my options are exhausted. I even started applying for a "state aid" where I'll be studying but the Holy Spirit prompted me and said has God told you to? So after hearing that I didn't even apply again. Before that God has already told me He'll support and help me so I was like "Adele just relax for God and do the needful". So I was putting in works for everything based on this whereby I had to be "still for God to do His work". I'm still trusting God and I know He'll come through for me at the right time and he won't delay! With my options been exhausted, God has already taken it from there and he's working it out which I do not perceive "Isaiah 43:19" because he's making a way in the deserts and streams in the wasteland. This will be mind-blowing and will take me by surprise, I prophesy! Fast Forward, with regards to me being unemployed for 3 years now and still with my parents at the age of 21 hmm, I've started rebuilding my resume to apply for on-campus and off-campus jobs in the school and in the state and with this is "faith and deeds because I know God will give me a job even if I don't have some of the documents and no matter the tons of requirements and restrictions for international students in the USA. God will deal with that so I need only to be still in the documentation trait! So I'm doing the needful by having faith and trusting God, praying, sowing seeds, worshipping, reading the bible, and all the good stuff, etc. Based on this verse "Proverbs 16:2", I've had a lot of plans and reflections in my heart but I've to wait for God to examine them and see the true one to give me a wise response/reply from his tongue. 😭😭 This is when you're walking in God's Will and I know his plans for me will succeed forever because I've committed all my ways to the Lord "Proverbs 16:3" This is so lengthy but I hope It'll transform someone to be inspired and never lose faith in God. Sis, may you walk in the Anointing of Jakin and Boaz forever thus you been spiritual and wealthy at the same time forever "1 kings 7:21", and may he strengthen you, in Jesus' name Amen.
This exactly speaking to me. God told me he will be my Jehovah Jireh at my new work and yes he is. At the the end of the day God's purpose is showing his strength to us in times of weakness and and if we stand on gratefulness l, we will appreciate his doings and provisions. Some times we want badly what we want not what can give glory to God. I still believe that God will grant our desires but first he must put our heart in tuned or aligned to his. ❤
I'm currently in this situation. I lost my job 4 days ago and I'm stepping deep in my faith. I'm applying for jobs, praying to our Father and not allowing fear to take over. Fear tried to stop me from buying food ( I have some money put up but was concerned to spend it). I trust in the Lord and he has Never failed nor forsake me. I love him sooo much!! I’m not even half way done but you are in my house 😢 I just told the Lord I’m tired of having plan a to x and not trusting You. My mom always say to me “aren’t you Gods child? So why do you worry?” More of a rhetorical statement. I am learning in this season to lean on God & fully trust Him by resting in His word but working on what He has spoken to me while waiting.
It’s a learning journey for sure sis!! But God is soo patient with us. When we do decide to trust him fully we can see that he’s been trust worthy all along 😭🤍

(possibly until further notice) its been truly humbling. it has also been so hard rewiring my brain. im realizing my pride, my selfishness, my self righteousness, my stubbornness, and im becoming like a child once again. i have laid everything at the alter. God has revealed to me that i was so busy striving for what was in Gods HANDS instead of his HEART and i have been running on the spot for the past 3 years. ha! This is something I had realized mostly through my life experiences, even before I became a Christian. Do your best, and leave the rest to god/universe. This was so good! I often got so confused with the verses you compared. Thank you sis for clarifying. This is so silly but I chuckled when you spoke on how we are so quick to create backup plans and gave the perfect example of it. I do that so often, it’s sad. We have to understand that God has no problem with blessing us. In fact, he takes pleasure in doing it but we first need to do the action then the blessing will follow. I thank God every day for his spiritual discipline,grace and guidance. Since I rededicated my life to Jesus and fully surrendered it all to him; I now truly understand what it means to not want to live without him. There is no life out of Christ. This life is sweet. I’ve been asking this question out to God so many times in this season. I’ve experienced exhausting all my options. How can I show forth my faith without action of what I’m believing for, if I don’t continuously apply for jobs. While He did say be still. Ive tried that approach & stopped for a while after being burned out. Then saw a year go by and no opportunities came, I blamed myself. So I’ve felt conflicted, of how does this work. I’m so glad to see this tittle come up, gonna tune in now.
I hope this has given you some clarity sis 🤍 I will be praying for you. That God will reveal the right job for you in his perfect timing. Even this waiting season where it's seemed like nothing has been happening is being used by God for good. Nothing is going to waste. Don't blame yourself, God is still fully in control :).
