Fake Armor or PERFECT WAR DESIGN?!?

For those not aware of this, the Perfect War Design claims the 'plates' are made out of neoprene, which is the material that wetsuits are made out of. Does back up their claims that it's waterproof though, not so much selling it as body armor.

Gotta say "What caliber is it?" is a nice surprise in contrast to the expected "How much did this one cost?". It shows her priorities are in the right order.

That first vest says it has protection for up to 24 joules of energy, and google says .22lr has around 160 joules at the muzzle, so their description may not be entirely wrong

Joules for anyone who’s curious or doesn’t know, is the amount of energy exerted when a force of newtons is applied over a displacement of meters. Most bullets in low caliber range like a .22 LR is 162 Joules, the kinetic energy that vest can take is 24 Joules. I died laughing when I heard that rating! 😂

Demolitionranch the only channel where a veterinarian shoots random things for 20 minutes and we all watch happily

24 joules of impact protection is very, very low. For starters an Airsoft gun shoots 1-2 joules usually. Airsoft snipers can go up to 5 joules. Air rifles usually 10-50 joules. Regular .22 lr pistol around 160ish joules Regular 9mm pistol around 500-600 joules. 5.56 will be 1500+ joules. 7.62 NATO can easily do over 3450+ joules

"What caliber is it?" Next scene: Mere is saying "Hello and welcome to Demo Ranch!" She's kitted out in tac pouches and ready to wreck reactive targets.

So, on the aspect of the "24 joules kinetic energy" that hunting vest: A .223 bullet, going at a speed of 3200 fps, delivers a force of approximately 950 joules of kinetic energy. A 22lr going at subsonic speeds delivers 88 joules. That vest literally advertises itself as *not* being bulletproof, with that low protection level. Hell, even a person throwing a goddamn shuriken would have enough force to penetrate it (37 joules), even IF it was stab proof.... That vest will only protect you from a person *throwing* a bullet at the vest...
