I've watched this a couple times now, and that A3 is deflecting lead out the sides and top of that plate. It'll stop the bullet sure, but its also going to deflect the lead into your chin.

Thanks for the review of the new A3 plates. They definitely trade a lot of protection and spall containment to reduce the weight. Doesn't make a lot of sense to me though, if you want light weight just go with full UHMWP plates, about the same level of protection, same weight, cheaper. They would be much thicker though. Still it's nice to see them innovating.

That 3rd hand reload had me on the floor laughing.

Silver tips are just dipped in anti-seize… makes them not seize when going through the armor so yep they are anti seize rounds for sure

That first one lets you keep stuff in the handle to simulate the clicks and clacks of movie guns. Plus you can keep an extra charging handle in there for when you lose the first one.

The 4th WD40 round hit the already very weakened part, I'd have loved to see that and the sturdier one put up for a second salvo

Matt! Check the muzzle brake out on your Lynx. It's adjustable. You should be able to reduce the recoil until it just barely cycles. 👍

As an IT guy and a gun guy, I really appreciate the intro. And I'm always surprised how many folks in IT are also gun enthusiasts.

When my dad got his Mossberg Shockwave he nicknamed it his therapist, and once he let me try it on the range I instantly found out why, that thing is an absolute joy to hip fire.

I've never seen a flying shotgun impale a printer. Well done old boy. Also I recommend not getting shot with .308 silver tips. Perhaps a smaller caliber to let you know you're being shot at

I literally just received my A1 plates I ordered from Armored Republic today. My first thought was that they were very heavy and I almost regretted getting them, but after this video I'm just going to go to the gym and work on my squats. Worth the extra weight!

Dear Demolition Ranch: I'd love to see how different plates from different companies stack up. For Example, we know that the Armored republic A-3 Plate does against Armor-piercing ammo like 5.56 green-tip, but what about Predator Armor's Level III+ Kevlar lined Plates or Shot-Stop's similarly rated plates. It would be great to see a true head-to-head, Apples-to-apples comparison with at least three different makers, of high performance level III+ armor along with their weights. That I know of, no channel has ever done such a thing.

So, you've got room for a spare charging handle in the hollow pistol grip. Maybe a bright red one so you can find it when it falls off.

The charging handle might be aggravating but a good childproofing option especially if you're traveling. I would definitely purchase a spare to keep in the grip though. Loved the third hand reload too.
