making a spray gun aint no rocket science. only thing that really matters is that the geometries of the nozzle and air cap is spot on. no need for a thousand dollar gun.
I also have both. Its the same, it sprays the same. I think they feel the same. I wonder if the parts are made at the same plant in china and final assembly is in UK on the original.
I know a lot about machining and it really only comes down to 3 things design materials and manufacturing if a company uses a good design and makes the tool out of the same materials and manufactures it to the same tolerances it will operate exactly like the original
I just got my fake one from China. I knew what I was getting and there's no 'devilbliss' markings on mine. NTools GTi Pro. Cheap but I'm throwing white on my 76' GMC Sierra. Figured it was better than rattlecan so this should be a great buy for me.
The control knobs are wrong for a UK built gun, you do know they send sprayguns to China, they go in kit form to be assembled over there, something to do with taxes being lower if its parts rather than the complete spraygun, as with everything they always had people coming in with copies made in the east, almost as good looking but no where near as good in use.
Hi, great job. I would like to know which product and air pressure regulation would be the most correct for the devilbiss copy. Mine is T110 mouthpiece. Thank you very much and greetings from Spain.
Just know that the thieving Chinese don't copy a real T110 air cap. It is shorter and doesn't have three small holes - only two- by the center nozzle hole. Likewise they all are 1.4 fluid nozzles- no 1.3 etc. But, I have one that sprays like a banshee!
I unwittingly bought a fake iwatta I used it once on solvent base and the seals fell apart, got new genuine seals and they didn't fit properly. Be aware.
@@SuperSilence23 not exactly. Whole world pay chinese people fu...k all for making those high quality stuff (mobile phones, tablets, tvs and many more ) same like these paint guns and selling them for £300. So after finishing their shift poor people stay on overtime and make few extra for sell (around £80 on ebay) Win win ;) in final the thief robs the thief and people can buy good quality stuff without overpay
@@Egon1982 The real guns are NOT made in China. Real DeVilbiss are made in England, and Sata are made in Germany... These are just cheap knockoffs of the real guns. Quality is not near the same.
Cool to find a post from you here... watched your camaro project in 2018 I think... it's still in progress, as I see on your channel - good things take their time.
I just watched a video saying this is the real one. People making videos all over the place and don't really have a clue. Just use it and if it works fine, so be it.
Do you have a link to where you purchased this fake one? I have a Tekna Prolite(real) But if the knockoffs dont spray bad, i wouldnt mind one for spraying sealer! Nice to not have to clean my gun between sealer and base... Plus i got kids at home to feed, so the extra dinero in my pocket helps my family!
Now watching this again years later and I'm wondering if these manufacturers sale all there defective guns to china and they resale them. I don't see why china would go through all the trouble to copy all these guns with sophisticated machinery when they could buy and resale rejects or even make easier money elsewhere.
Both are made in asia and one is for the asian market and a direct import. It is the same with the Fluke 17B+ multimeter. It is officialy from Fluke, but only for the asian market. The thing is, if you want to help your financial system, then buy it in your local store, if you want to get same quality for less money, then help the red dragon.
The T110 air-cap has two holes on either side of the fluid nozzle not three holes. Please look carefully, Have you sprayed high solids clear with the fake gun?
If it's $93-$99 on eBay it's fake . I hope it stays well because I'll have to get one. I don't want to spend $600-$1,200 to get a couple spray guns to paint my car. Even the fake ones are above my budget, really
Disculpa una pregunta medio tonta o rara que tal sale la pistola debilbiss GTI pro lite Pero la clon o fake de ala original a la clon hablo de su desempeño en general saludos buenos videos
Great video. It's really important to buy the original products. Please what do you think about the Devilbiss products on amazon? Did you get the fake one from eBay?
Well, the two holes in the air-cap on either side of the fluid nozzle of the genuine T110 air-cap have been proven to leave a flatter finish than the three holes of the TE-20, TE-10 and other 3 hole either side of the aircaps for the deVilbiss sprayguns. I have seen sprayguns with many more holes in the aircap either side of the fluid nozzle that to not atomize well. Appreciate all and any other feedback on this fake T110 aircap concerning finish with the high solids clearcoat.
You are right- the real T110 lays clear flat. The thieving Chinese don't copy that one. They just label the same cap differently. The guns do put out well enough to atomize the clear coats.
@Matt Miller my God did someone piss in your corn flakes. I had both guns in fact i sold my real gun and purchase another fake. You may not like Chinese knock offs but this is a good gun for the money. Only difference is gun body finish and its heavier And as far as the gun being a pile of shit my first fake is over a year old and sprays like glass. i have cleared over 60 vehicles with it. The needle and cap look like new.
PHARRAWAY I haven’t heard of the fake DV1. I’m painting my own car, that’s it. I’m not a painter, but a little better gun than the one that comes in my 3 pack kit for $110 may make a difference in the quality. I’m willing to spend the $80 for that.
amigo tengo la oportunidad de comprarme una replica igual a esta tu me la recomendarias para transparentes espesialmente la quiero para aplicar clear gracias y exelentes videos
I have the real one and the fake one. Only difference I found is the gun body finish. I sprayed test panels using Tamco HS clear. Honest truth I sprayed test panels using Tamco HS clear. 3 out of 5 chose the fake finish over the real. The parts are even interchangeable.
@@lemuelhenderson2145 Any chance you have a link to the knockoff you got? I have a Tekna Prolite aswell, but wouldnt mind a cheap alternative for spraying sealer... Believe it or not, not all the knockoffs are the same. Some are better than others from what ive heard!
+Norbert H you can tell the difference right away if your familiar with devilbliss. Close enough where a new painter wouldn't know. The finish, the air cap, engraving isnt as deep etc.
@@Wretched2JZ Plus the knockoff has the air cap ring, and fluid/fan control knobs shiny. Original is more of like a brushed finish(more dull) Plus the quality of finish on the gun body itself. Its near perfect on the DeVilbiss/Tekna guns.
@@PHARRAWAY Anyone ever notice that Biss means "bite" in German so you could interpret it as "Devil Bite" brand? Probably not an interpretation the company would promote though. :)
Agreed. You can put "made in anywhere" as long as it was assembled in that country. Doesn't mean the body and internals weren't manufactured somewhere else lol.
kevin spring Actually in US there are regulations to this. Made in USA must have virtually all components made and processes done in the US. If it's simply assembled in US they can write "made in USA with global materials" but can't just write "made in USA".
Possibly - but as you know even different floors of the same factory can create different quality levels - that's the great thing about working with these creative genius in Asia.
