I'd like to imagine Woolie trying to lab in a casino and being told to leave because he is at the Blackjack table explaining the game to no one but himself
3:00 the audience enjoys it because of 3 things. 1: Learning/experimenting the game w/ little investment ruining a personal run 2: Backseat gaming. Self explanatory. 3: Perfect background visuals for an active mind. Keeping track of the run and the future well being of the run helps keep an active mind "busy" and also relaxed at the same time.
Also I just like listening to Woolie and Reggie banter. I had this stream going while I was at work and most of it was me just listening to Woolie strategize and puzzle out hands while Reggie would randomly drop one of the funniest fucking lines I ever heard.
Yeah it's a lot of "WOOOO" because you know it must be "WOOOO" since number go up but also you aren't sure if the "WOOOO" is real or you not understanding what is going on.
Fun fact: It is entirely possible to reliably win lots of money, in the long run, counting cards at a blackjack table. Anti-Fun fact: Casinos can just stop you from playing at any point they want, for any reason they want, and they can track how people play in order to detect card counting. They can also add you to their watch list and prevent you from ever playing there again, and possibly in other casinos they inform. (I know Balatro isn't blackjack. I just find that interesting.)
@@colbyboucher6391 I don't think they are allowed to use non standard decks because that would change the odds But they do use multiple decks to try to throw card counters off (it doesn't help much)
This game knows the location of the dopamine centers in my brain and prints it out whenever I see the big numbers go up. What a joy of a game. Definitely down to see the boys slap some cards.
The only downside i get from playing balatro, i prefer they have or add another 2 or 3 music themes after a couple of antes. Its fine, just not engaging after spending a few hrs playing
@@inxplotch In his defense, he's still figuring out the game and thus hasn't found his preferred playstyle. He might not ever like that Joker, or he might come to rely on it more later on.
Also he seems to not realize that vouchers dont change per shop, he should have gotten the red card joker and saved for planetarium in the next shop but instead just got planetarium right away, wasting his chance to get red card for no benefit.
With all the talk I've heard about this game, not once has anyone brought up how swimmy the graphics are. I guess I'll wait to pick it up after it gets more options to disable all the distracting effects.
@blackjacktrial tbf you really want for it to break as it unlocks the x3 version (1/1000 chance to break). It *does* seem to be a magnet for polychrome and such however 😂
Woolie apparently doesnt know or get that there are (very successful) people who's WHOLE channel was Binding of Issac or who's WHOLE channel is Slay the Spire lol.
Woolie is a chronic overthinker which very often causes him to take way too long to do very simple tasks. In general his gameplay is incredibly slow for anything thats not a fighting game.
