I'm just back from a month in China. Beihai, Guangzhou, Yiwu and Shanghai, plus a few other spots. Not my first, actually my 10th trip there, I love it. Wow, shopping in Guangzhou is .. words can not describe it, but Snide does it better than most with his pics. It's insane! The scale of things. Not a couple of shops selling clothes, leather goods, watches... but districts. District all selling the same thing. The people are so cool, so friendly, especially to me a westerner. Finally we are coming back, but it does go deeper than that, they are just good people. I get such a better reception there, always have, than an Asian would get in my country, Australia. It embarrasses me to be honest. I too love the spelling, my hotel came with "Free Wife" ! haha Thanks Snide. Hopefully catch up next trip! Yande.

The first rep makers that would make things in bigger sizes than the originals would make a killing if they marketed it as the only option for the bigger people to get these brands. I get so bummed out looking at cool stuff that cuts off at XL or even L at times, even as originals. Would buy so much stuff if the sizes were bigger, but all I can get from China clothing vise are some oversized jackets and hoodies. Even then it is a lottery if the item will fit.

In my experience, I have purchased from a middleman before, and I have not always received the same level of quality as I would if I had bought a "PK" branded product. Therefore, I would like to ask a question: If you were located outside of China, how would you purchase top-tier products without relying on batches? Is there a way to identify top-tier products without using batches, given that the price doesn't always reflect quality? For instance, I have previously purchased a 400RMB shoe from an unknown batch and received a shoe of mid-tier quality, which was also completely different from seller's pictures (but I never trust Weidian pictures lol). I believe that's why people continue to rely on batches because they have a general understanding of what to expect.
