Great video! Thanks for putting more word out about these counterfeit Milwaukee batteries. Wish I would have done research and watched your video before buying a Milwaukee M18 12ah battery from eBay at a much lower price point. I didn't catch it at 1st but after using the eBay battery and realizing how terrible its performance was, I compared it right next to my genuine Milwaukee M18 12ah battery and there are a lot of differences between the 2. If I didn't have my genuine battery, I would have fallen for it. Now I have to waste time and fight eBay about a refund. I'm sure a lot of people have been duped and don't know any better. To the untrained eye, or in my case, without my genuine battery and knowing how it performs, I would have thought, wow, great deal and battery. Let's be honest, genuine Milwaukee batteries are not cheap. Everybody would like to save money and get the real deal but these eBay batteries are definitely not the real deal. They are fakes and counterfeits! I should have listened to my conscience, if it's too good to be true, it isn't.
I don't buy anything from E bay con sight when I am looking for new product. When buying my Milwaukee tools and accessories I stick to authorized Tool stores such Acme (I know, nothing worked for Willey Coyote from Acme), Great Lakes power Tools , or Ohio Power Tools. I have priced all over the place and see very little if any difference. Some times a place might be cheaper but then the shipping isn't included and after included the price is higher. I had purchased from all three of those stores back during the "crisis" because of product availability and had no issues with any of them. I learned long ago that every time I try to beat the system it bites me in the ass.
I bought some of these a couple months ago, the 6.0 version. I knew they were off when I first felt them but was so close I thought it was probably just a small change in design since I've never had 6.0 red lithium ones before. The lights are off, cells loose, visible from the outside and the buttons feel cheap. Crazy they have milwaukee product stickers on the back.
I used them on high demand tools like angle grinder and blower and they both failed within 10 charges. Contacted Ebay about the seller being a scammer since it was too late for return and they didnt care at all. The guy is still selling them. @@NoName-oe8ii
This is why my 18v line of tools is Ridgid. Not at the top, but still 2nd best amoung TTI, so not as much of a target for counterfeiters -also Red is expensive AF- Also why I don't buy Duracells or Energizers anymore. Harbor Freight alkalines on sale all the way!
I just bought two this week that came in sealed factory packages, and were counterfeit. Same things he points out with the tooling being wrong, and the first thing that made me suspicious was the LEDs all lighting up at once.
@@Elbereth42 really that sucks i`ve bought some from fb marketplace but they came out good i guess i really dont buy tool batteries online like some on fb do shipping i rather stay away from them ,,so the best choice is buy in person
To late for me😢 I bought two 8.0ah from one popular website and they were around $75 each when the package arrived I saw something weird on those batteries and I remembered one time I saw I video explaining why milwaukee batteries never have charge and this batteries where fully charged 😢and like you said on the video the charged indicator light all together 😞 .
I got a 12ah in a table saw kit doesn't have blue in the back the light lights up from left to right slowly but the light is not as bright as my 8ah or 6ah..... could it be fake?
Saw some photos of genuine computer board vs fake. Big difference. Ima open up the new 8.0 batteries i got on offer up for $90/each. So far the details you said on the fake battery dont show.
I got scammed on some dewalt batteries don’t tell anyone I actually don’t mind them 😂 I’m not buying more obviously but whatever I’ll use them till they break they’re only being used on a 3 brushed older tools And my Milwaukee m12s might be fake but all came with legit looking packaging
su ebay un venditore spaccia milwaukee 5ha compatibili ma dentro ci sono 5 celle invece che 10...totale 2.2ha anche se hanno un prezzo basso e' una truffa
That may be true but copyrights should as the quality reflects bad on the brand. As well as people paying the same price for something not preforming as it should, which is not fair to the unknowing consumer
Those aren’t fakes. I own 6 actual fakes and they work just as good as genuine. Your comparing Home Depot ones to snap on or Mac tools ones. There’s a difference. This video is not right or accurate.
