Hi Karen, please do "fake or real" for citrine too ! Citrines are one of the most faked crystals on the market. I am ok with heat treated amethyst version of citirne, but I don't want to buy color dyed or just dyed glass ones :(
Hi Karen, I honestly am impressed of your devotion and the time you find to reply to every comment. It would be nice to continue this serie of 'fake or real' and include clarification about citrine beads and rutilated quartz beads. I have bought some from different retailers in my country for comparison but they look nothing like yours, some of them have very orange like color.
@@KarenHuiCrystals I agree. What I liked about this video is garnet varieties comparison. It would be so interesting to watch a comprehensive video on quartz. There are varieties with inclusions that sometimes are marketed as high value. I wonder if this is true. How valuable is toumalined quartz or quartz with actinolite or dumortierite? How real are these? Where do they come from?

I am starting my online business in a couple weeks. I have purchased most of my inventory from China, UK, Italy, India, and Hong Kong. I never thought about checking to see if what I am buying is real? I just assumed these big companies were honest.
Hi Karen, I really love your videos. I do hope to also see another design like the 7 Chakra. Is 7 Chakra beacelet good? Please do let us know. God bless you Karen.
Could you make a video showing the difference between a natural stone made in nature versus a stone made in a chemical laboratory and are they valued equally. Thanks in advance
Hi Karen, thank you for your post. It helps a lot. You have good English. I recently bought semi precious stone in shopee store from china. It said that the stone are generic and not branded that's why it is cheaper. Does generic mean from laboratory? Do you consider laboratory made fake? Thank you
I love watching your videos... Dear, can you share how to identify stones? I find it hard to identify my mix stone chips which i won from a certain shop.
Hallow Karen, I would like to know about yellow topaz in a beaded bracelet. It is my birthstone, but I got a fake citrine. I would love to have a real yellow topaz. I also love garnet but where I am living you don't find any. Thank you.
I am making jewelry for a few years now. I started to make them myself as I am allergic to most metals except for copper. I wear copper earrings and never have problems. The moment I wear something els my ears swell and they get infected. So because I even am allergic to silver and gold, and you can't find earrings made of copper I started to make my own. I make everything myself and all in copper. I can wear tarnished copper, so I have my jewelry in bare copper and tarnished copper. While I was making them I wanted a to add beads to my collection. Not plastic, but natural stones. So I started a year ago to look into that. Now I have a big collection of stones. In the beginning it was hard to find the real thing. One indication that I use very quickly was the price. When you buy 5 strands of 8mm beads of rose quartz for 4 euro, it's fake... (48 beads per strand) . I took one bead and hammered it... and yes they were glas. They are beautiful but fake. If people want me to make a bracelet, but it has to be cheap, I give them those beads. I tell them ofcourse they are imitation beads. Some people don't care. For myself I only want the real beads. And I finally found a good dealer. They sell also imitation, but they say when it's like that. U am very happy that I found your channel. Can you also make a video about unakiet? I live these stones so much... Thank you.
I am only allergic to silver earrings, and alloy parts. So most of my custom-made jewelry pieces are made with 925 sterling silver. Yeah, some people don't care about what it is, they care about how it looks. But for those who really wanna buy natural crystals, they got cheated by the sellers.
Thanks for this interesting video. I noticed you're looking at weight on bracelets but for those of us who make custom bracelets how many beads do you recommend using at 6mm, 8mm and so forth? Additionally it's helpful to have real genuine product to compare new product you ordered from Amazon. One of the things that always is a red flag for me is when Chinese bead manufacturers lace their red beads with hot pink thread to enhance the color. There should be an industry standard where everybody uses clear colored thread. As I said this is a red flag for me and says that a manufacturer is trying to pump up the color. I'm curious what your thoughts are about that because I noticed some of your beads have red thread as well.
Hi, since I am a jewelry maker too, 90% bracelets are made to order, so it's difficult to say how many beads to use with 6mm or 8mm in one bracelet, every customer has different wrist size, and I use a wrist guage to make custom bracelets. For the threading part, my best understanding is, rose quartz should be threaeded in pink cords right? But most China seller use red pink cords to thread. About the Amazon, there are sellers selling fake crystals, I had a video about that. :)
Thank you, it's my pleasure to share. :) Please feel free to visit my stores at www.diynotion.com www.gemandsilver.com www.etsy.com/shop/DiyNotion www.shopee.ph/diynotion.ph
loving your vids karen!!!, but are you wearing black onyx which is fake lol? ps yes love more about real vs fake... also very interesting eg india vs brasil pricing what to look for etc if you dont mind as when i search and see it 5 times cheaper i think it must be fake etc thanks gaina KAREN AND CHRIS!
Hi Karen, I'm from the Philippines and recently bought crystal bracelets from Shopee live sellers (Chinese sellers). Now, I'm not sure if what I got are real ones. Thank you for this video! Looking forward to seeing you in Shopee PH also :)
I have garnet bracelets and a sphere but the beads and the sphere are not flawless at all they show cracks in the stones although fully well polished. I have a rosary and mantra necklaces made with garnet beads and those are flawless and look more like glass although they are very heavy. So, I wonder which one is fake or real?... I dont know how to make out.
