I think your friend who can't keep up a straight face and resorts to childish pranks is spoiling these counter-scams. It becomes all too obvious that you're dealing with children when you are giggling in the phone.
Lewis you should say to the scanner "is this Microsoft secure server? Then like 10-20 minutes later say is this Linux secure server and if he says yes call him out on it
You could try a number of things to annoy them.... Switching the language to a foreign one Changing the font to something unreadable When they tell you their name is 'Alan' or something English, tell them yours is Mohammed Talk about random stuff, like having a bacon sandwich
I had a dodgy version of WinRAR knocking about a while back that was in Arabic: even the minimise/maximise/x icons were reversed (on the left of the window)...that would be funny to do
The scammer bingo is bloody brilliant! I also like how the guy got all super polite once he thought he had you suckered for over 1K. Keep up the good fight!
Well, that went quick. Btw, nice FBI login screen. Did JackkTutorials teach you that? Because I remember him making a video on custom lock screens. Anywho, nice vid.
You should call one and act like you have a legitimate problem with your computer (something you'd call an actual tech support for) and see what they come up with.
I like videos like this where you just let the scammers to their thing. People need videos like this to see just how badly their lives can be messed up by these guys. Although, if i were you i would narrate the video and explain exactly what he is doing, cause most of us don't really understand what is going on.
I really wish someone answered a scam call while taking a massive shit, specifically holding in the worst parts of the shit for when they're not on hold. I REEEEEEALLY want this.
I've gotten these random calls from "microsoft technical support" before. The first time I talked with them, I had a sickening feeling in my gut that this was a scam from the get go. So I basically told the guy that I was a Certified Microsoft Engineer and he quickly hung up the phone. Wack the Mole. So I've checked out some of these scam videos, KUDOS to you guys for making their lives miserable. May they all go to hell.
Geez. I remember when I first started watching these scammer vids and they would take some time to try and gain access to your computer. Now they just go straight to it. Whatever happened to a little wining and dining first.
Im suprised how good the scammers are. And I can see how someone who lacks knowlage will easiley get scammed. Just subbed to the channel, great stuff to be found here :).
In the future if they ever add sales tax ask for a company tax registration number. See how they squirm... 100% they're not tax registered and just pocket that too!
Please search on Google for "avg customer care number" or "Norton technical support number" etc. All show up scammer numbers on Google search and they have even the logo of company like AVG or Norton next to them. I think Google should not promote scammers on the searches related to phone number of anti-virus customer care.
Ankit Nagpal its guruaid, they act like they're signing up and getting it for you, then they syskey or just take your computer and info for selling/ransom
Hahahahaha, no examination of your computer...immediately going to your creditcard....i'm beginning to miss the commandline 'koobface wirus found on your system' under that 'tree' command.
Because someone told them "Indians will be good with computer" .Thats why they think they know everything . But half of population does not even know what does graphic memory means .
2 hours to make sure the entire PC is properly looked through and all sensitive materials are properly "backed up" on the scammer's box. Is there anyone actually falling for it? Really??? This is huge!
Good job there I started Remote tech support business with a small office in ConnecticuT & a call centre in Gurgaon , India with total of 8 people . Genuinely selling services and with low price tags $30 to $300 , ended up shutting down everything because ROI was nothing & debts after 1 year of struggle . Companies around me would be advertising through popups , ivr broacasting , refund scam , gift card scam , event viewer scam , bitcoin scam . Business became us against scammers !!!!!!!!
Which makes the legit Indian support look bad. I used to work for a company that did support for Apple, and we had a branch in Bangalore, and the poor guys there were constantly being called scammers just cos of their accents.
I like how they try to get your address... Happened to my neighbour once. He got a message that he has won money (idiot for even opening that link)... wrote down his address and a week later - Someone tries to rob his house. Unsuccessfully, because there wasn't much to rob...
my card doesn't have a backside, it doesn't shit. my quote of the week, im taking that with me into exams mate, something to cheer me up while i do my biochemistry exam :P
