I noticed, but they're so insanely cringey that I don't want to think about them any more than I have to. ;) Not to mention the one guy TAKING OFF his helmet multiple times.
There's actually a station where I live that's FDFD (Fort Dick Fire Department). It's also right by Morehead Road. And yes this is true. Edit: If you want to see it for yourself, look up Morehead Road, Fort Dick, California.
That would unironically make the video an amazing piece of comedy instead of cringe trash. Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dumbass are trying to trick people on TikTok into thinking they’re firefighters, and then suddenly a water heater blasts through the garage door. It’s two sides of the ‘fake firefighters’ coin: one hilarious trash, the other cringe stolen valor (or whatever the rescue worker equivalent would be).
I've literally opened that same model door with one hand with both springs disconnected. Hell, the hardest part was not damaging the damned door, as half of the rollers were out of the track as well. They had some Home Depot contractor install it wrong, then dutifully called the Sears service tech to fix the garage door opener, because the GDO is obviously faulty when a botched install door won't open...
If only they had more than just 2 pieces equipment that are supposedly bolted to remain connected on their truck at all times, because you know.. the 1 hose & 1 ladder are for only 2 things: putting out fires and rescuing cats in trees.
Wow. That is a brilliant idea! You should invent one and then go on Shark Tank and get super rich. Then you can buy a yacht, park it next to Damon's and party together! I can say I knew you from RU-vid before it all happened! 🥰🥰🥰😍😍😍🤩🤩🤩🙂🙂🙂❤❤❤💜💜💜💯💯💯💃💃💃
Ehhh, I don’t think most people, including Jason, have a problem with obvious entertainment. He seems to be more upset with inaccurate portrayals of servicemen and for the most part the injection of stupidity into situations that aren’t necessary.
Eh. People like these are what my dad and most first responders call job security, because there will always be idiots in the world and those idiots will always need people to get them out of shitty situations that they put themselves in.
Stolen valour seems to be mostly an American thing. Here in the UK if you dress up as a solider, long as you don't pretend you are one, nobody is going to be that bothered.
@@Croz89 that's basically the same thing here. Just look up the videos of it where people try to say they are in the military and start giving off fake info about it and are in divisions that don't even exist.
Oh I’m pretty sure it does I remember when I was younger my dad got his cleaned so we could take pictures in it and it stills smelled like smoke and sweat. I think it maybe knocked the first layer of ash off and that’s a maybe.
I saw BO and thought it said BBQ. I remember my dad's squad car smelled like a BBQ pit cause he kept his bunker gear in the back as he was an arson investigator.
@@briar7893 hell, my dad didn't even bother to clean his before we dressed up in it for pics! When he got new gear he took burnt logs from the fire place and rubbed the new stuff down because it was too shiny and new looking lol. Thats was in the late 80s before we knew about all that cancer causing stuff 😬
@Jenn So your dad made his new gear look dirty by holding it over a fire and rubbed ash on it on purpose? And he told you it was because it looked “too new”? 😂 Sounds like he never got dirty but sure wanted people to think he did.
He’s sagging in his bunker gear. Completely white smoke? Garage doors are opened very easily from the inside. Wouldn’t she be able to unlock it herself if the power was on? Or wouldn’t she just be dead if she wasn’t able to? If it was that bad wouldn’t firefighters break through the door?
if a person was dying inside, they would definitely break through the door, though they would probably check for an easier path first like a side door or a window.
They could just snap the emergency exit rope down, like they very clearly did here, and then lift the door manually from the inside instead of pretending it's stuck.
I love how when the person inside the garage fired up the smoke machine, the location of the machine made it look like the fake firefighter closest to the camera was literally blowing smoke out of his a$$hole due to the "strain" of trying to lift the garage door. LMFAO!
Jason, I've never seen someone struggle so hard to open a door, but then your security footage helped me understand! Thanks bud. Seriously, these kids need to stop. Maybe go join the volunteer fire company and actually learn something. Like how to open an unlocked door. Or how giving that much air to a fire is a terrible idea. Or how a K Saw works. Lol.
@@GhostBear3067 not to mention that if a human really want to it can just break that door whit kicks and they r 2 the only problems is that they Together have half the Intelligence of an Newborn
To be fair tho, garage doors are heavy. I once had to open a single car garage door without the help of the cables that pull up on the door, and I could barely lift it. And I'm an 18 year old guy.
@@CriminyChicken Must of been a really weird model. I've never heard of any garage door use cables before. Only ever small wheels. Also haven't ever heard of a heavy garage door either. I thought they were all 120 pounds at most.
@@tink58bell wrote: Women can be hilarious too!!!! Before someone else reads your comment and gets all butthurt about it, I'm going to calmly point out that it can very easily be misinterpreted to be "Women aren't always sticks in the mud. Sometimes they're funny, too. Not as much as guys, but they ARE capable of making people laugh." I know that's likely not what you actually meant, but welcome to the 21st century.
Bruh this is getting ridiculous. Explorer’s could do this better cause at least we train ‘em 😂 two grown men versus some 16 year old Fire Explorer, who would win?
I'm struggling with something on this video, can someone please explain to me what's the entertainment in this Tic Toc? Why is it entertaining? I'm lost.
@@FireDepartmentChronicles Yes. This. Why? Just... why? What is the appeal? What's the end goal? I feel... lessened for having been exposed to the original video, even by proxy. That's one thing that I don't think even you could save us from.
@@FireDepartmentChronicles goodness, I wasn't expecting a reply from the legend himself!! Thank you, Jason. I'm trying to look at it from a person who might find this funny, but I'm still lost. But then again it's hard when you've worked in the first responder area for a while!
Another tip for the test. Often there is more than one right answer. The trick is to pick the rightest answer. Conversely, sometimes there is no right answer. Then you pick the least wrong answer. I also agree that you should not read into the question. Answer based on what is actually in the question, not on what you think might be in the question. Good luck!
Jason actually did a video about the scene arrival. He presented wrong answers first, and why that action was wrong. Then he presented the right answer: consult with the firefighters and LEOs on scene to assess the situation, so you don’t run into a potentially dangerous scene. I wish you the best in your future career as an EMT.
It's definitely WWE level acting, I was kinda hoping to hear a catchphrase from under the door. "YOU CAN'T TAKE THE SMOKESHOW, BROTHER, OOOOHHHH YEAH."
or use the side door that most garages have. I can only think of one I've seen that didn't have a regular door to the outside and it has two different doors that go into the house and several windows that these guys could easily get through.
well clearly youre not a firefighter..... none of us call them the "jaws" they are spreaders or cutters and 2. Wed never use the "jaws" to open a garage door. k12 and be done with it
Love how my dumb 5th grade self managed to break into a garage within 10 minutes with just a broom, shovel, and backpack. And seeing these guys really changed my view on life... On how worthless some people are
That sounds like some kinda story a dad would tell about his past. “Hey kiddo did I ever tell you about the time I broke into the neighbors house with nothing but a shovel, hockey stick, and package of chewing gum?” Or something along those lines.
I just want to give a great big thank you to all our Fire Fighters. You do amazing work keeping our homes, communities and loved ones safe and work to make our communities better.
I could probably open that garage door by myself. That little latch in the center is the lock which tells me that the garage door has to be opened by hand, not a button. And judging by how high it went, the lock is not even engaged.
I don’t know if people have pointed this out yet, but the small white box on the right side of the garage is a keypad that you can use to open the garage with a code. If this really was real, the trapped house owners would just tell the firefighters the short 4-6 digit code and be out in seconds!
That clip of the inside of the garage is exactly what I was picturing the whole time. That stupid little puff of smoke coming out right where the guy is 🤣
This is sooo funny :D I love the parts where they fall on the floor doing literally nothing, and the part where the helmet just falls off with a nice plastic thud as it hits the floor.
The worst one was on fb where the camera sits outside of a hallway and shows a firefighter running into a room that can't be seen from the camera. The camera films nothing for 10 minutes and then he comes out with someone. Everyone acted like it was real. Videos like that exist because you get extra money if you reach 10 minutes so people will come up with skits where they make you wait for something to happen until 10 minutes. Other ones I've seen include a woman in a grocery store with her bf waiting to see how long it takes for him to notice she's wearing something silly, adding endless ingredients to something like a cake, etc.
Hey Jason, thanks for the good luck you gave to us at the MAAC. That joke had us all laughing. I appreciate it and love your content. Thanks again, you're the best!
They do know garage doors used to be manually opened, and still can operate that way, right? Like, if you can lift it that far, it's open and will just slide right up. They've... they've used a garage door before, right?
Not the tic tok itself but the commentaries i was rolling. Im not sure why this was suggested but im hooked. Thank you very much I really needed this distraction from my bs life
I'm surprised he didn't mention how he took his safety helmet off which I'm sure is frowned upon under most situations for obvious (or what should be obvious) reasons.
@@jopestus All I ment was that a service persons helmet isn't like a hat. They don't take it off while on a callout unless it has very specific need and this indcedent didn't need it.
I feel like as a trucker I can come up with more realistic video with a gopro or amazon body cam strapped to my body, and my 43 inch yellow crowbar that I use to pull nails deep in the wood in dryvan trailers. And do it while putting more effort into it.
@fenrir6911 I got mine when I was doing tractor supply loads, at the time that was the biggest in the store I was at. I have seen them go as big as 60 inches. It really makes pulling giant nails out of the floor of dry van trailers very easy. Some customers like to nail certain loads down and they can be longer than the height of the wood floor and go through the wood completely. Which makes it very difficult to pull them out.
Maybe they should have used the Mattel infant axe that they used in the last one? Got to love the dramatic brow wiping. Really makes you feel the heat / stress.
The lace-up boots with the Walmart bunker gear and plastic helmet we give out to elementary schoolers for fire prevention week are all I needed to see 😂 I hope to God no one thinks this is legit.
Ah yes, watching 2 fake firefighters struggle to open a garage door, premium tiktok content if you ask me. I'm starting to feel old and disconnected with the youth...
As a fellow firefighter (in New Weimar aka Germany) I have heard manny manny people say yeah why do you take so long or I pay you with tax monney! Most of the time they really believe it. But this is it, they will only acknowledge it if they are in a life and death situation or if they join the firefighters. This will be something we will need to live with sadly, keep it up!
