I am back everyone! Pokeboy14 here with more side by side comparison of Fake and Authentic Pokemon Soulsilver Game. Many starting collectors look for help to get started and I am hoping to share my knowledge related to these Pokemon Items.
These sealed pokemon games has been selling for ~$500 and I am hoping that this video will help you avoid getting scammed or tricked into buying these cheap reproduction Pokemon games that usually costs around $14 - $50$.

I just bought two copies of soul silver and the cartridges both look identical. The cases however differ. One has a slightly more purple tone to the paint behind Lugia on the cover and the other one is a more blueish tone. They both shine equally under light. There's some other differences but I cannot really tell which one is real/fake or if the cases were reprinted or just quality issues and one is slightly different than the other. Please help!

The spine logo is the giveaway. I bought one on ebay sealed to finish my sealed DS pokemon collection and the spine print for the "soul silver" logo had purple ink around it instead of white. That was the dead giveaway to me. Also the lack of shine to the background on the front. It's grey not silver on the fake. Sucks having to ship it back but luckily ebay handles these things pretty well.

I went to a flea here in Mexico and they had the game, but since I didn't know if it was original I didn't buy it, tomorrow I'm going to go check it out thanks to your video :), greetings from Mexico uwu

thank you for this cause off the ds getting good fakes it impossible too figure out the fakes they been getting very good my friend got a good fake it plays well start too finsh the box was legit but cartage was legit too shinny the light through but it played well .

Why are some cases black and others white or see through? Is that a regional diffirence?

i have seen PAL games have clear cases, normale NTSC are dark gray / black

Can someone please help me, i have soulsilver that checks all that an authentic cartridge should have. But when i shine light, it glows smoke clear black not the reddish tint. Could it be fake ?

That fake one has the back esrb box really close to the paper cover edge compared to the real one.

I was so disappointed after buying one, checking that actually the booklet is like a cheap newspaper quality instead of the classic glossy printed paper. Then I discovered that this was the official release. Don't understand why Nintendo used that quality.

I'm telling you the soulsilver and heartgold had a seal either horizontal or vertical like a strip you take off around it as well. I just wish I can send you a photo of it because I recall taking it off that way and both my cases still have the strip line on the cases. It might have to do with variants as well not to sure

Thats the european version if im not mistaken. US version never had that.

@@pokeboy14a mine is the American version, plus also remember peeling it off like as if I were peeling the strip off a pack cigarettes. I'm just saying that it might have had variants too as well
