Great documentary, a point in time thankfully capturing the greatest escape from the insanity of this world, I had the pleasure of spending an evening and afternoon with the late Roger Upton at his house, he was an absolute Gentleman and an Ambassador for the sport, as was Stephen Frank and Geoffrey Pollard
Great video I was lucky enough to be hawking on the Crakaig estate during the time this was filmed. Steve Chindgren, Stephen Frank and Christian Saar were invited to join us for the day by Leonard Durman Walters. Fantastic days grouse hawking was enjoyed by all. Steve Chindgren did not film the day but took many still images if I remember correctly. Great memories.
Loved this video. Have all but worn out two copies of the original and always wondered how much more hit the cutting room floor. Some wonderful history here.
