The Diesel Sears Suburban and LOTS OF DEEP WATER! Riding with LaPavoniMac, you can view his video here (He's got some AWESOME FOOTAGE): • Mudding with Fearlessf... Like me on Facebook! / fearlessfront
Thanks a lot man! And those old motors had different power rating's than they do nowadays... For instance, a 10hp from the 60's probably has as much torque as a modern day 18hp engine... give or take. You'll be fine with that motor as long as you get the ignition sealed off.
The Sears Suburban Diesel (A.K.A. THE BEAST) is amazing. It can go places many ATVS (even four wheel drives) could not. The torque of the diesel is impressive and performs like a gasoline engine with twice or more horsepower. great job on design and build Great video.
I'm currently working on a lawnmower project I have and ATV a Polaris sports man 550 and honda Try 250 they are fun but there is something about driving a lawn mower through mud and just knowing that you made it that excites me
Fantastic footage with first rate production quality! Right around 3:30... that's incredible, the way you can see the water wash over the back of the tractor and that awful moment when you step in the wrong place and have a soggy foot for the rest of the day. I'm sure there's a good reason why you fellas aren't using hip waders, I would assume because you don't need them 90% of the time but that other 10% still must make you think about it. Cheers man!
You need to build a 4x4 mower, the polaris's from the early 90's use a chain driven front differential that sends power to the wheels through cv shafts. It would be fairly easy to run a chain from your rear axle to the front, get the struts too and either cut off the top part and build a solid axle or build strut mounts and have front suspension.
hey Fearless are you going to get the old murray and tak it for a romp because i miss seeing it in the mud getting durty not saying anything is bad about the sears i just would like to see the murray out and going agian
I'm not sure why I've never thought of it before but why not put independent front suspension on one of these you could get a lot more flex on the trail moving over rocks and trees with it just a single A arm with a soft shock
Can u do a video wiring the sears because I have wheel horse 312 8 with a 10 horse kholer horizontal that I am reviving it's been in a flood and siting for years did run before flood though any tips
first thing I always do, buy, or install a stronger clutch spring. you'd be surprised how much this helps. Otherwise, you'll probably want to make some thing custom
Trust me, it amazes us too. That's why we keep doing it. The feeling is the same way when you're driving through mudhole, you'd swear that you were stuck, but all of a sudden something gets pushed out-of-the-way and there you go!
Fear less front see if you can put 29.5 outlaws on the Sears I thinck that much torch u should be able to turn them tiers over dude keep up the good work nice off-road lawnmores
Have you thought about design and engineering trax that would basically a mini tank? Taking the tread of a tire and wrapping it around the wheels but having a tensioner to allow it clearance around the shroud. Just a thought better than 4x4 concept.
Pully swap, he has a 1:1 ratio, meaning everytime the engine spins, it spins the input shaft of the transmission. So if he had his engine running at 5000 rpm, the input shaft would be spinning at about 5000 rpm.
i Havent gone threw every video of yours, But would you have one were you first get a mower with the blades and everything still on it and showing how to scrap it off. :)
If you get a set of HL Outlaws,or Silverbacks for the rear you will not get stuck any more...Either of them will walk circles around the Swamp Lites...
Depends on a lot of things really all you have to do to make an okay mud mower is a good beefy set of tiers and lock the the rear end to make it posy and I suggest adding something to protect against water just because they can go through water doesn't mean that's it's okay
i love all of your lawn mower vids. but I have an idea ! U should make a weedeater bike. I am right now making one and it is coming along. u can look at some vids on youtube on how to make them. when its done it should hit 25 MPH without any modifications. I really hope u can take this into consideration. PLEASE REPLY!!!!!!!
