This video is showcasing some of my favorite Fall 2024 Fashion Trends. I turned 36 this month and 2024 has been about me rediscovering myself after having my 2nd child and overcoming postpartum depression.
Fashion is cyclical so trends come and they go. If you are rediscovering yourself or trying to find your personal style, please remember the most important thing is to wear what makes YOU feel your best! Just because the fashion industry, insiders, and magazines same a style is "out" doesn't mean that you can't still rock it! Also, just because a style is "in" doesn't mean you'll like it for yourself or it will work for your style, lifestyle, or preferences. When I'm not sure if I'll like a new trend, I try it out inexpensively before investing a lot of money into a piece/item/style. If I find myself liking or gravitating towards the "tester" then I'll decide to invest. I invest in pieces that speak to me. Sometimes they're trends, sometimes they're more timeless pieces but it is all about what resonates with me and speaks to me at that time. Pieces that are staples for me I will invest in so that they can last me for years to come.
If you're not in a place where you can invest a lot in your wardrobe but still want quality pieces, I recommend samples sales, online discount retailers like Gilt, Hautelook, Bluefly, shop previous seasons, and thrifting. Please don't sleep on thrifting! You can find amazing quality and vintage pieces at a good thrift store!!! I shop my favorite contemporary brands during their anniversary sales, Black Friday, friends & family, and end of the year sales.
