Fall Baking Days Are Back & Shopping For Joe's Meal Plan 

Today I have a $200 Aldi Grocery Haul for you all where my favorite purchase wasn't even food. I also ramp up my baking. Lots of making homemade breads lately and I'll share that in today's video. Molly's Bread
2/3 c. active sourdough starter
3/8-1/2 c. water
2 tsp. oil
1 T. sugar or honey
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. bread flour
1 1/2 tsp. yeast
1 tsp. vital wheat gluten (optional)
These ingredients may be double for a 2 pound loaf. Only use 2 tsp. yeast.
Place all ingredients in pan of bread machine. Set to dough cycle; when complete turn out to floured or oiled surface. Do one set of stretch and folds. Shape into a loaf and place in greased pan (9x5 works well for a 1 pound loaf) I have an extra long bread pan similar to these that works well for a 2 pound loaf or you can make 2 loaves. amzn.to/4f6BW8v or this option amzn.to/4f8cfEM
Soft Sandwich Buns
1 1/4 c. milk
1 egg
2 T. butter
1/4 c. sugar
3/4 tsp. salt
3 3/4 c. bread flour
1 1/4 tsp. yeast (I use a generous measure)
Place all ingredients in pan of bread machine. Set to dough cycle; when complete turn out on floured or oiled surface. Roll or pat to about 3/4 inch thick and cut out with biscuit cutter. Squeeze together scraps and cut a few more. Use up all the dough. You should get at least 18 buns. Allow to rise at least 1 hour or until as big as you'd like them. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-15 minutes. Mine usually go the whole 15 minutes. Allow to cool and slice for hamburgers.
