When you move those pans they drop. Try waiting til rise then 400. Glass heats faster and rises faster. To warm a kitchen crank up that stove to 475 then open it fully for 45 min. Never forget its a oven heat source. I lived in Minnesota and kansas its easier to come home to crank up the oven to help wood and heat sources work more efficient and cheaper.
I have to say I just love watching your videos Lauren. No matter what the content, I love to sit and watch. The first thing I do when I get home from work is change and watch your video. It helps me unwind before I start dinner and do all the evening thing. Just wanted to thank you for sharing so many wonderful videos with us.
Enjoyed every second of this video. I too tend to get stuff all over when refilling one container of flour or other stuff even liquids to another. I now put a towel in the sink, put the empty container in and fill it there. Saves lots of cleaning up,
Great tip! I'm a messy cook/baker but I have just come to terms with it and know I can clean up in the end. The sink is a great way too keep those messes contained, I will need to remember that!
@@ThisAlaskaLife Came in useful today as my husband was filling the olive oil dispenser from a 4 litre bottle and overfilled the funnel. Oil all went into the sink. He cleaned that up, not me 😀
I really enjoy watching your videos. I have been watching them for a few months now. I think you're a great mom and you do a wonderful job taking care of your family and home.
Perfect! I think walking into your home, the aroma would be enough to take the chill of the bone on a cool fall day! Homemade Bread, Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup, & Homemade Pumpkin Cookies, Thank God for Moms! I love everything made from scratch.
Going down to 33°, here! At 10 pm, its now 40°! I do the exact same thing with my Costco chicken! Cookies looked yummie! Will have to try them, and the bread! Thanks for showing me your Kitchen cooking and baking! Too bad, no , smell-a-vision! Vickie from SE Pa
I loved watching you gather, prepare and cook this bountiful meal. I loved the music today. I love watching a Mother cook. It warms my heart. Thanks Lauren, for bringing back fond memories of Mom in the Kitchen. It was like watching her. And when I saw Weston 's eyes getting his bowl of soup. It made me think, "Nobody makes it like Mom"
Thanks Jessica! We're just getting revved back up for more cooking videos! They are more of a Fall and Winter thing around here since summer gets so busy! I am really happy that people seem to be enjoying it!
Good Morning Hamm Family ❤️ Well, it's 1120am to be exact. It's a foggy, cool 61°F Autumn day. The Cardinals and Bluejays are fluttering about and singing up a storm. My favorite time of year 🍂 I'm almost caught up. I have 2 more videos to watch, plus 1 Alaska Boys. Thank you for sharing your soup, bread and cookie recipes. I love collecting recipes. Delicious 😋 If you or Bennett would like I can share my Hobo Stoup, Challah Bread and Cheesecake recipes with you both. They've got steps to follow, but are worth the effort. The Hobo Stoup goes great with homemade bread or cornbread. The Challah recipe can also be used for French Toast, Bread Pudding and Cinnamon Rolls. The Cheesecake is crustless. It's a Passover hit. I also make the toppings: Blueberry, Strawberry and Cherry... Raspberry would be good too. Let me know if you're interested. I'm taking it easy today. My body is recouping following our trip and last few days of unpacking, doing laundry, grocery shopping and lots more. My body is saying, "Nope. Not today." Sometimes it's good to have a "listen to what your body is saying day". Enjoy your day and week ahead. Yah's Blessings ❤️
I felt so cozy watching this video, all I needed was a mug of fresh ☕ , but it's like mid 90's today so, nah! I've never made 🍁 bread or noodles before, but I do 🍂 love homemade when I've had the chance to eat it. Maybe I'll give it a try! I could almost smell those pumpkin cookies, 🤎 I know I will be trying these!!! 🧡
You inspire me, a 66 yr old disabled senior! Love your family....love Alaska but have never been there! Always wanted to but having been a RN in busy ER ....never was able to as was director also in busy city!!
Get a hot house plant those winter veg. Just boards cut as a angle towards the sun. and find a glass southern side window to attach as a lift cover. Sept - Dec
Wow way to go Bennet. Are you going To share the bread recipe. The music that plays while your chopping veggies is so warm, calm and makes me want to cry and drink coffee. lol
Homemade soup, bread, and cookies all made with love. Really enjoyed this video. The garden is nice, loved your raspberry bushes. Lots of hard work but so nice to enjoy the benefits of living in Alaska. Love and prayers 🙏💕❤️❤️
Evening, I've just taken the bread out of the oven, my home smells wonderful. Not tried it yet! Was a very wet mixture, I got 2 loaves and a dozen rolls...
Beautiful bread! I love making bread especially in the fall and winter i make it every other day sour dough bread also Portuguese bread and pop secos which are little rolls. i make braided brioche and other kind of bread. Nothing more satisfying than a bowl of hot soup and fresh homemade bread. l Love watching your channel.
I do it for max time n bout 20 mins before it's done I set it for another 3 hours then let it finish longer the better n it turns it from broth to bone broth n has more nutrients I also make for my dogs
I love your soup ladle. Where did you get it? Also your bread dough mixer....what brand? I love homemade soup!! and I use the Costco chickens for a lot of recipes. Not only are they yummy but very economical. Until next time...have a great week!
The soup ladle is weight watchers. My mom bought it years ago and it is amazing ( I’ve never been on ww but love the ladle). The mixer is a Bosch - a work horse for bread!
Good morning from a chilly 37* in Tennessee this morning ! The soup looked delicious and would be great today ! Oh my I wish I could have smelled that bread .. looked delicious !! Thank you Lauren for giving us a warm idea for chilly days !! Bless you all !
Perfect for a chilly day! Keep warm! It seems like the south has finally decided to cool off. It happened so fast. I feel like just last week everyone was telling me it was still in the 90's!
We finally turned our heater on to! This video was filmed a few weeks ago, I had forgot about it!! But I don't think we have hit 18 yet, more in the 20's. Stay warm!
Oh wow. I can't wait to try that bread recipe. Looks great. So its the 18th here in Central Indiana and we already had snow. Warm fresh bread and soup sounds great!
My mother in law plants carrots in 5 gallon buckets and they come out perfect. I am going to have to try it! This bread recipe is a really great way to start! It's pretty easy!
Lauren do you have the recipe you use for your homemade noodles. Or is it in another vlog? I looked but I did not find it. Will be making the cookies soon. Thank you for the recipe.
thedashleyskitchen.com/homemade-egg-noodles/ This is the recipe I have been using. I forgot to add it. Thanks for reminding me! The cookies are so good, hope you enjoy them!
That soup looks wonderful! I could almost taste it through my phone. Does Miss Luna get some bites of chicken? My Jax would be in my face until he got a few little pieces.
