Went to one of our favorite lakes that seems to always produce decent cuts. We went on a Sunday and the lake was busy, but only one other person was fishing, so it wasn't so bad.
Good video man, I think you did great for the time of year you went out. Plus you got to prowl how fun is that. The weather holds hope you can get out a bit more before there is ice out there.
Never fished this lake before the brooks were illegally introduced so I can't compare, but seems like it is still a decent fishery. Some of the cuts in there are pushing 22 inches or so. But I'm sure the brooks have a feast when the cuts eggs start to hatch.
@@Fishthe406 have you actually caught and measured any cutties too 22" because that is almost unheard of as they are not piscivorous?? because not even the fwp has even sampled/surveyed anything that large in there for the last 20 years... ladd knotek is the head fisheries biologist for this region and he's a friend of mine the lake has really gone down hill since the introduction of the brookies the average fish was 14-16 and at times now all you catch are 8-12 inchers with a few decent ones. Not to mention the pressure is insane with all the out of state dbags. Love the content tho! You going after lakers anytime soon the water has been in the 60s on the flathead still so I haven't been pursuing them but they are spawning and staging in 60-75 fow so its only a matter of time..
@@montanastrongremodelrenova1632 my net measurement is 17inches and Jasons first fish was a little bit longer. The fishery might be making a comeback. Have you fished it recently? I hope to make it out to flathead before the spawn is over, Jason and I are fishing one more time next week than we won't be going until November.
