Fall is my favorite time to fly fish for big smallmouth bass! As these brutes move into their winter holding spots, they tend to snack on bigger meals, which makes throwing a big streamer a ton of fun. In this video, I'm chucking around one of my biggest streamers, and it got the job done! I hope you guys enjoy this one.

Your channel is my favorite for fly fishing so far. I’m just now trying to get into fly fishing after a trip to Sylvia, NC, but I’ve been fishing largemouth, bream and catfish my whole life in South Georgia. Any recs on equipment?

Thanks man, I’d look at TFOs NXT black label combo. Probably the best beginner and budget-friendly combo we’ve found out there. Comes with good floating line as well. From there you just need your leader material, tippet, and some flies

U tie ur own flies? If so, dont skimp one penny on hooks. Regardless if you do or dont, always carry a good hook sharpener with you. I fish waters that are equally craggy. Those rocks can dull ur hooks with the quickness. Also, i recommend strip setting with those big articulated streamers. That really helps to sink that hook point into the hard roof of the mouth. Cool video for sure. I wish more smallie fly guys made good content.
