My Fall Home Tour is finally here! I have been so excited to share our English Cottage Inspired Home all decorated for the fall season and the day has finally arrived. I hope you enjoy all of these warm and cozy fall home decor touches.

Try putting your bench on the other side of the table so when you glance in, you see the chairs and that beautiful table your husband made. Then your eyes will be drawn to the small green table and the beautiful wall. Your entire home is so lovely!

Have you consider making another cutting board wall on the other side of the window? It would add symmetry & the rest of your cutting boards would look so pretty there. Also, do you think that placing the table bench under the window with a couple of throw pillows, a basket with dry flowers would look gorgeous there?

Andrea, could you attach the pot rail to sides of the cupboards, instead of the tiles behind the stove? Much easier to seal up screw holes in wood, vs. replace tile, if you want to remove the rack later. Or maybe you could attach it using hooks and chains that come down from inside the range hood, and attached above the tile?

Totally ENJOYED my afternoon coffee walking around your incredible home! Love it all and always do ! You are correct about the little table you bought. If you went to Target or Walmart, you would pay that price for a cheap table. I think you did well with the price. Don’t feel bad about spending that. Your home looks just lovely! In reference to your dining room artwork, what if you found a gold antique frame with light fabric as a mat. That might make the artwork pop. Also remove the glass and take some modpodge to create brushstrokes. I do that to make my prints look like oil paintings. I think you would love it.

Your taste is so much like the sophisticated English cottage decor in the UK, especially the West Country. I can't believe I'm watching a USA channel. Your husband is so talented -- he's transformed what was a very dingy interior into the magnificence it is today. The quality of his work is superlative! As usual I love all your touches. I love that the arches in the sun room built ins mimic the arch of the front door. I have always wanted an arched door. Its kind of a fairy tale cottage look. Also all the wood beams , handmade table and hard work your husband has done is really the bones of your look. What a team. I also think the chairs look amazing with the table, wicker and bench . I happen to love the uniqueness and charm of the bench . But I know function and practically wins out with a house full of boys .

Just my opinion: Black "grounds" the space. I love the natural wood pcs., but the rooms have an adequate "sprinkling" of the natural. Because of the counter top ... I prefer the black chairs. Have you thought of generously distressing the black dining chairs to reveal the natural wood, but leaving some black? Your home is so charming!! I mostly love that you "shine" your love for Christ un ashamedly.💖

Missing the antique chairs. I guess this mature women is thinking how uncomfortable the bench would be…EVEN THOUGH it’s unique and great for the boys. I think outside would be great! The chairs you have now are good too but I preferred the Windsor chairs. Andrea, I always look forward to your videos.

Please don’t change out the slate floor in your kitchen! It is one of the few things in your home that actually has some color. It’s natural and gorgeous! The variations in color help hide dirt (which we ALL have). Mixing some neutral colors with other true colors can add depth and warmth, but if absolutely nothing has color, it all looks the same, loses warmth, and has no impact. That $110 antique piece is beautiful. It’s definitely still thrifted. It could have cost the $200 he originally asked for, or been even more. Anything purchased for less than the true value and/or original asking price is still thrifted. What happened to the dining room chairs that you last painted black?? The style looked really good with the table and other furniture in your dining room! I love all of the “weeds” that you brought in from your yard - they are so pretty! (Maple is a pretty kitty!)❤

Loved your video and the peaceful nature of the music and tour. Being in Texas, fall color is something I have to REALLY look for, I think the heat late in the season prevents our trees from fully turning like I've seen in the Northeast, so fall for me involves the colors of the season. I use my neutrals for the Spring/Summer and burst out with oranges, maroons, browns, for Fall and classic Christmas colors for December. Thanks for sharing, and the coffee cups and Scripture cards, were sweet and just spoke to the fact that you have a lived-in home...I love seeing those types of things. Oh, your vlog style video was just as enjoyable as the staged style you referenced..

I love the contrast of the white French doors against the gray trim, it gives a sense of separation from one room to another more than just being doors. Absolutely love the chairs as they are as it gives a sense of lightness and size to a narrower room, painting them, even white, would shrink the area I think.

Beautiful Andrea. Love the green table and breadboards. I just got some golden pine rounded chairs like your antique ones. They were really golden and I didn't like them, so I very lightly sanded and painted with Walnut Coco coloured stain (enamel based) and painted two coats, they have turned out quite dark and I absolutely love them. Very hard wearing too being enamel based. Best wishes on your decision of what to do with yours. Jo from Australia xxx

Andrea regarding your black dining chairs. Try going over them with waverly antiquing wax in brown and then wipe it off. Will soften the black and they’ll look aged. I did that with some pressed back chairs and they look great

Your home is absolutely beautiful….. I heard you mention you wanted one solid color for your flooring… we just recently painted our church bathroom tiles … the tiles were pastel yellow and very dated…. I saw where people were painting tile and it not chipping and lasting for a long time… using the protective coat ….. it’s by rustoleum tile and floor paint, you can even tent them in several different colors… worked great …. Looks like a completely different bathroom….. just a thought…. Love your house!

Fellow Michigan mama here. I just found your channel. I have the same slate floors, and we stained them with masonry stain. It worked great, I used 3 coats, and it made them so much easier to clean. I wasn't sure it would work because the stain was so watery, but it's held up perfectly for 2 years now.

If I were you I would not paint the chairs. It really gives to the look of the old world English cottage look. Sometimes you want to keep that (yesteryear) complete look of how it would have been then, if you know what I mean. It just to me adds to the charm. Many people I see doing furniture flips go too far changing the colors of their chairs, white, black, teals, ect. Your overall look takes you back in time and it is not seen often.
