I remember I met a ww2 veteran. I forgot how old I was but I remember everything he said. He had dementia and yet he still remembered the war enough to tell me everything. He told me how he was drafted when he was around 20 and he had to leave his wife and newborn and how he was sent to France. He told me that his friend was named John and he told me what it was like in the trenches. “Muddy, wet, and hell.” Is what he said. He told me how he kept a picture of his wife and baby in his pocket constantly because he felt close to them. He said he watched soldiers get shot and die and he watch one man step on a mine. He told me his little girl was named Evangeline and when he returned from the war he finally got to see her. He explained how it was like 5 tons being lifted off his shoulders when he was finally able to go back home. He had lost 60.7% of his vision after an accident and yet he still recognized his wife and daughter. Worst of all, when I said bye to him, he said “goodbye Evangeline!” Sometimes I wonder if he thought I was his daughter.
Because of the USSR, Britain and the US. No side could win without the other, WW2 was won with British experience/intelligence, American production and Soviet might.
The USSR lost more than 26 million people in this war... And now many people forget the feat of honor, courage and courage of the Soviet people... Please do not forget the past, because it is it that helps us remember the horrors of bloody wars
It's great, and i respect the soviets who lost their lives, but people wernt being freed, they were being forced to undergo new management, to be a satellite puppet state for the soviet union. Many died after from starvation, and many were forced to work and die, and countries were annexed into a communist grasp.
I am Norwegian and my grandfather told me about when the war finally ended. He said it was like heaven. Sadly he passed away last year rip and respect to all the soliders who died and fought in the war.❤ (Edit OMG GUYS TY FOR SO MANY LIKES AND THE RESPECT
Full credit to whoever wrote this: "Right now, there are people all over the world who are just like you. They're either lonely, they're missing somebody, they're depressed, they're hurt, they're scared from the past, they're having personal issues no one knows about, they have secrets you wouldn't believe. They wish, they dream and they hope. And right now, they are sitting there reading these words, and I'm writing this for you so you don't feel alone anymore. Always remember, don't be depressed about the past, don't worry about the future, and just focus on today. If today's not so great don't worry! Tomorrow's a new chance. If you are reading this, be sure to share this around to make others feel better. Have a nice day. :) "
An enemy backed by the devil himself. You guys don't understand, Germany back then was a HUGE powerhouse. If wasn't the world working together to defeat the dragon we would be speaking German today.
@@NagatoOPRESSORTHUGLIFEor maybe the God himself?? they killed 11 million people but no one talks about they freed 110 million people from hundreds of years of brutal occupation and ended colonialism... if not for them, we'd be living in the same colonial era
I am an Indian, whose great grandfather fought during world war 2 , and was with Germens that time. His trop was on eastern regime.Unfortunately, my ggfather was kneed down by the soviet but didn't kill due to Indian nationality, but was killed by a sniper of soviets.

The honor is only for the living , only despair for the dead , let's not cop to free ourseleves frol guilt , we sent them to die so we can live , admitting our selfishness and evil is the minimum respect that we should give to the dead
@@negrevallsette2980that made no sense what’s so ever. You honour the men that put their lives at risk and died for their country. You honour them for their bravery in war and fighting for our freedom. It’s not selfish, it’s respect
@@QWN94 my critique is that he said " that everyone that died was honored" it's like they died by choice,no one had questionned them because they are dead, we sent them to hell so we can live and we are trying to cope as is it was not selfish , you can say that it was a necessary evil , but at least aknowledge it because indeed they lived the hell and we reaped the fruit of happiness
@@jacklynenkatha8288Italy is underrated in ww2. The Japanese defeated the Dutch. The Japanese defeated Great Britain in the battle of the Malaya gulf, and was the only country to directly attack US soil.
The fact we’re blaming Germany for WW2 to break out I ain’t gonna give a history lesson tho but I’ll give a short explanation. USA France UK Made A German government official sign a treaty Including making germany bankrupt making them hav less territory less sea control and they’re military equipment got taken (well most of it) then you know the rest
Well they were already bankrupt by the end of the First World War lol At least they didn’t occupy Germany Even in 1918 western countries had more chivalry
The landing of June 6 was the affair of the Anglo-Saxons, from which France was excluded. They were determined to settle in France as if in enemy territory! As they had just done in Italy and as they were about to do in Germany! They had prepared their AMGOT, which was to sovereignly govern France as their armies advanced. They had printed their counterfeit money, which would have been forced tender. They would have led themselves into a conquered country. This is exactly what would have happened if I had not imposed, yes imposed, my commissioners of the Republic, my prefects, my sub-prefects, my liberation committees! And you would like me to go and commemorate their landing, even though it was the prelude to a second occupation of the country? No, no, don't count on me! I want things to happen gracefully, but that’s not where I belong! Americans were no more concerned with liberating France than the Russians were with liberating Poland. After the Council of Ministers of June 10, 1964 -Charles de Gaulle
@@rtixboi4193 how is not? The German soldiers fought against not 1. Not 2, but 3 superpowers all at the same time. England, USA and Russia... America couldn't take on China, North Korea and Russia at the same time. America is a lost cause.
@@emptyhad2571That's not true in fact Corsica was actually re-invaded by Free France. The invasion was called Opération Vésuve. It's so sad that nobody remembers this.
@@Arabmapper12and? have you not seen the society we live in rn? war shouldnt influence such stuff that much let alone if they are not going into the war themselves
The USSR (Stalin) actually trusted the Germans, enough to do large military reforms in 1941, a major mistake which caused them to be pushed back to the borders they had been pushed back to historically.
@@nerdsahhgaming4779 they had to do the reforms otherwise they would have lost they knew the germans were coming for them they just didnt expect them to attack that soon or atleast hoped they wouldnt and they were also coming after the germans

@bruhbruhpypsik Not even 15 countries, Russia, China, 6 turkic countries,e north korea, BRICS (Like 6 country) Vs USA, so if we look at main powers, Russia, China Vs USA
Yes, the Germans deserve respect as warriors, they fought with dignity against several superpowers of that time at once. But it is worth noting his ally Japan, which was surrounded only by enemies, China, the USSR, the USA, Korea, the Philippines, etc. and Japan waged war very well
СССР праздновали не долго. Ведь надо было восстанавливать страну после ужасающей войны. И плюс к этому горе народа, которая заживёт годами. А америка ликовала.

My Great grandfather was part of the Air Force during the battle of the bulge. He was shot down and crash landed in German territory and was captured. He was thought to be dead and had already had a funeral but he started to send letters from the POW camp he was in to his family. He later survived the camp and the war.

Balfour Declaration 1917 November Revolution 1918 Germany loses WW1 1918 Spartacist uprising 1919 You must understand. The leading Bolsheviks who took over Russia were not Russians. They hated Russians. They hated Christians. Driven by ethnic hatred they tortured and slaughtered millions of Russians without a shred of human remorse. The October Revolution was not what you call in America the "Russian Revolution." It was an invasion and conquest over the Russian people. More of my countrymen suffered horrific crimes at their bloodstained hands than any people or nation ever suffered in the entirety of human history. It cannot be understated. Bolshevism was the greatest human slaughter of all time. The fact that most of the world is ignorant of this reality is proof that the global media itself is in the hands of the perpetrators." Sure some things are vrote from the winners like the britain sunk the Bismarck but the important things are not lied because if that would be the German empire from ww1 would also have a bad call
I swear Canada doesn’t get any recognition in World War Two even though the fought throughout World War Two wherever they can they get shadowed by USA, Britain, USSR, and France.
I’m Pakistani, but back then, my Great-Great-Uncle was from the British Raj and he was a medic and served British and Indian soldiers during the Anglo-Soviet Invasion of Iran. Very proud of this 🇵🇰🇬🇧
