I DO NOT OWN THIS VIDEO, ALL RIGHT BELONG TO FALL OUT BOY OR WHO EVER RECORDED THIS VIDEO! :) Fall Out Boy- Feat. Brendon Urie (The Making of 20 Dollar Nose Bleed)
***** While I was referencing what they said in the video after the "I guess I am a coward" part, MO stands for Modus Operandi. It's a term frequently used in criminology to criminals who behave in similar ways, or have a habit of doing the same thing over and over in the same way at different crime scenes. It is commonly used to profile serial killers. For example, Jeffrey Dahmer's MO was to lure men he felt attracted to back to his apartment so that he could strangle them and keep pieces of them with him. Jack the Ripper's MO was to disembowel and mutilate prostitutes with a knife after he had killed them on the street at night. So when the guy said, that's my MO, he was just saying, "That is what I always do, or that describe me perfectly" I guess my MO is writing overly long comments that you probably could care less about, hahaha
No, not at all! I appreciate the time it took you to write the post :D Now I know what it stands for. I'm gonna start using that xD Thank you for that!
Pete has a lot to do with the creative input in of all their music productions, especially lyrics as well as the singing for them, even if he doesn't sing it he can still make a suggestion on how to do something.
Same here!! I didn't even know Brendon was in the song to begin with, but I will say that the first time I heard it and it came to Brendon's part I was like "Oh...this kinda sounds like the Panic At The Disco dude...". But then I was just like "Nah, it might just be Patrick and his awesome voice range". It's kinda weird that I thought at the time that since I had only listened to P!ATD a few times but now I know a little better when it's Patrick and when it's Brendon :) Their voices are just so compatible!! :D
I love how these guys are friends!! I like that it's not a rivalry between the bands to constantly be better than the other or feel the need to pick sides. Like back in the day it was either Nsync or Backstreet Boys, these days it's Katy or Gaga, and so on. And then FOB and Panic toured together, I love it!
Listening to brendon sing with acoustic/no accompaniment is literally the most awesome thing ever (also seeing patrick and brendon sing together made me want to rip me face of with feels)
Patrick and Brendon have very distinctive voices in my opinion, I'd be able to tell them apart in a heartbeat, and I'd be able to say it was a Panic! song or a FOB song within a second of hearing the voice.
Same. I have walked into stores and as soon as I hear either Patrick or Brendon's voice I almost scream, "I KNOW WHO THIS IS!!!" but due to social normality, I don't and turn to someone and say, "This is Fall Out Boy," or "This is Panic!" I have problems... 😞😂
On the album it doesn't credit Brendon (not saying that's a bad thing) but I swore I could hear Brendon because his voice is so distinctive and I love it. I could tell straight away the difference.
"Yo what if we didn't know each other and we couldn't laugh?" "What if you were just some dude and we were just some band?" This part is so funny to me.
I'll never get tired of seeing how shy and nervous Brendon was in this, they had to tell him to sing louder and stronger! and then look at the video of him pranking FOB in Tampa, it's amazing to see how much he's grown. and how far they've all come
When I listened to the song before I knew Brenny was in it I was like "Wait, that's not Patrick 0-0" and then I looked it up and flipped shit. I can tell the voices apart. I need help.
I didn't notice it at first, but then one day when I listened to the song it hit me. And like, how /didn't/ I notice? It's so obvious, they don't even sound that alike?
The book Pete reads from is called "Deep Thoughts" & the book Patrick reads from is called "Deepest Thoughts: So Deep They Squeak". Both are part of a series of books written by author Jack Handey.
I remember hearing this and just thinking something was off, like "Wait hold on, what is Patrick doing?!" It didn't click until I saw the live videos where Brendon comes onstage. The same way I had no idea that my favorite song by The Cab had their vocals until I read about it.
my favourite part is when patrick and brendon sing together and sound amazing and pete just goes "this might work". like, you think? i just love when they compliment and clearly admire each other's talent. like when patrick says of brendon "ooh, that one's good, that end was real good". idk man, it's my favourite thing.
that awkward moment when panic! at the disco is your favorite band ever and 20 dollar nose bleed has always been your favorite fall out boy song but you just now realize brendon urie sings in it.. [sighs and shakes head]
OH EM GEE I LURVE DAT BIATCH! Kidding. I actually do love Brendon and Patrick and Fall Out Boy and All Time Low and Pierce The Veil and Sleeping With Sirens and Nikki Minaj except the last one cause I hate her.
I really love how amazed Patrick is in this video of Brendon's voice like at 3:36 when Patrick's like 'ohh that was good real good' like its so adorable! And their voices work so well together :)
I remember when I was younger and they both had just started becoming popular and they had such similar voices. Now they have changed into completely different styles from each other and they are still rocking it!!
Was I the only one who knew that Brendon sang on this song? Hahaha this was one of the first Fall Out Boy songs I heard and I was like "WOAH THAT'S BRENDON URIE!!!!" Love this song!
I was listening to this, thought god that sounds like Brendon Urie singing vocals with Patrick Stump and so searched and bang! Thanks google! Match made in heaven!
I love how this video was shot! It makes this recording session feel like a TV sitcom like the Office or Parks and Rec. and I love the fact that P!ATD fans are here for Brendon and his face is hidden for like the whole video.
i have a fall out boy playlist on spotify. nearly 40 songs. 20 dollar nose bleed wasnt in it because i didnt really like this album much at all. like 1 or 2 songs but i decided to give it another shot. hearing this song i instantly thought. wow this song feels really panic at the disco pretty odd era. and low and behold. Panic is my favorite band
You're saying that all this time was not patrick singing ? that my life was a lie and i can't put a difference between pat's and brendon's voice? i'm just dead.
He sang most of the song and even the chorus with Brendon but there were parts for Brendon in the song and he only had 4. 2 by himself and 2 with Patrick. But Patrick really sang most of it.
everyone keeps saying how they were shocked when they found out brendon was in it, but i knew the first time i heard it. i can tell their voices apart as if it were telling a dog bark from a meow. i dont know why, its probably because i hear the two so much but this was amusing to me.
