►After years of anticipation, I FINALLY reviewed the infamous 4th album by pop punk/pop rock band Fall Out Boy! Folie à Deux was released in late 2008 to mixed reception, but is now looked at as one of their best albums. Watch as I weigh in with my feelings, and then bring in Hannah for a second opinion!

I think this is definitely their most consistent album to date. There's not a single skippable track in my opinion. They're not exactly re inventing themselves on this record but I think it's the album where fall out boy really hit their stride. My favourite album from them

My favorite record of theirs! Their best work musically and lyrically, for sure. For some reason it's currently the #4 selling record at my local record store Newbury Comics. IT'S BEEN MAKING ME SO HAPPY!!! 😂 AB/AP isn't even on their chart. Idk who's buying it instead, but I'm not complaining.

Listening to Folie just makes me feel for how the band must have felt when fans like us who treasure and appreciate it for the work of art it really is weren't around or vocal enough. I just wonder what they would have sounded like today if they weren't driven away by the hate. Who knows. All I know is this shit is incredible. Thanks for the review.

I totally agree. It was a real same that it wasn't seen as the genius that it is in its time. Coming from infinity on high, I hated it at the time but love it now how time and perspective changes things

This is definitely my favourite Fall Out Boy record, at first I didn't love it but I got into Fall Out Boy just over a year ago and over the year this is easily the one that I come back to the most. There are clever lyrics all over this thing, the album is varied in many ways but it also flows really well, the hooks are fantastic AND I feel that Fall Out Boy pushed themselves more than they ever on this record in terms of broadening their sound and bringing in new ideas. Plus my favourite song by them is 20 Dollar Nose Bleed and some of my other favourites are on here too. I think I'm gonna go listen to it now, awesome review.

I adore Coffee's for Closers. It makes me sad how underrated this album is because it's an amazing record. My tattoo (my first) is from Folie! It's the quote from the CD "your art is being controlled by you". That was the first studio album I owned from them as well, so I definitely hold it close to my heart.

Dude I'm glad we share the same favorite song on this track! West Coast Smoker is easily in my top 5 songs of all time. The overall almost bitterness that's woven into this finale is just straight awesome, I feel like like I'm in a middle of a hurricane while listening to it. God damn banger.

I'd love to hear you review Fall Out Boy's first album 'Take This To Your Grave'. To this day it remains my favourite FOB album because it has much more of their punk rock roots and some *killer* vocals from Patrick. I really think this album doesn't get as much love as it deserves because it came before the explosion that happened with 'From Under The Cork Tree' and 'Infinity On High'. Anyways, another great review! Thanks for everything you do! :D

I was listening to the album on spotify and nothing really stood out for me, then I hear the drum beat of (Coffee's for Closers) and I was thinking, "Oh Yeah, THIS is gonna be good." Now its one of my favorite songs on the album, apart from Disloyal Order of Warer Buffaloes.

So glad you finally did an album review!!😭 Honestly I'll never understand why Folie didn't get so much love when it was first released. I gotta say this album and SR&R are tied for first place of my favorites. I love them both so much and they both have lots of meaning to me. FOB will never fail to amaze me no matter what. Just their existence makes me so happy

god thank you for making this. this album is without a doubt the best album by them and it helped me through so much. it helped me *really* get into the band that saved my life. when they played disloyal order on wintour it was such a privilege to see one of the songs from folie that they haven't played since the SRR tour. it being one of my favorite songs it made me so happy and i lost my voice afterwards.

when i listen to 27 i STILL get goosebumps when he sings "Doing lines of dust and sweat off last night's stage". it's a beautiful melody, and the lower harmonies are beautifully put together with it (mind you they won't be sung live because pete can't sing for shit and joe has an unusually high vocal range). i can relate to that line so much though it's beautiful.

If what we're talking about is good music & song writing, considering the confines and context of the US music industry and American pop culture, this was truly a great album. This is coming from the prospective of someone who grew up listening to gangster rap/hip-hop/pop hip hop and only just started to listen to FOB's back catalog 4 years ago. Truely a treat to peep what music I was missing out on as a teenager/young adult. Good review too guys.

folie á duex is my favorite album from fall out boy. my favorite songs off of it are headfirst slide in to cooperstown on a bad bet, what a catch, Donnie, America's suitehearts, and 20 dollar nosebleed. I can never really decide which one I like the best, but I still LOVE all the songs more than any other album.

For me this is one of the best albums, anyone who liked it should check out the demos released about the same time (pavlove, alpha dog, from now on we're enemies). I love the increase in musicianship, the harmony lines on the solos, the vocal arrangements and performance, the improvement in the lyrics, this was a really great album. Favourite track is headfirst slide, least favourite is Tiffany blews, 4.5/5

I agree Andy's drums have moved to more electronic, but I like how they blend it in their music. They do it in a good way. But all that aside, This was a great album and It has several of my favorite fob songs on it(Disloyal Order, I don't care, Headfirst Slide, Coffee's for Closers)

The way I see it, West Coast Smoker is the closer and Pete screams in the song. Thus, it’s like the final installment of getting to hear Pete scream on an album. Just my thoughts

I know this video is old... and I am pretty sure I am quite older than yourself hehe but this is MY album...and I think a lot of us immediate fans, had to fall into a certain age range due to it's connection with our entire world... Ill finish with this.. as an avid fan, there was a legit fear that this would be the last album of one of my favorite bands. You feel it most in 'What a catch Donnie'. The video, you LITERALLY see Pete waving at the other band members as the ship goes down, signaling, Pete had to walk away and the future of FOB was unsure at that time. Btw, Im 36 lol
