Sarah T Yo Patrick, Soul Punk is great. But I get why he isnt stoked on how it went because I have the ONLY VINYL COPY IN AUSTRALIA. The record store was like Ive never heard of this album and then they found out that other stores wouldnt stock it cos it wouldnt sell.
“Rock bands breaking everything in the hotel room, you’re looking at two dads here: Patrick and Pete” Let’s not bring up that time Pete jumped through a wall shall we?
yeah but usually I want to hug him because he's huggable you know? this time I want to do it because this interview (at least to me) is really depressing on his end
this morning I was listening to the radio, aND I live in the area where I get this station, so I flick onto it to see if anything good is on AND PETE IS TALKING AND OH MY GOD
Lol my radio has interviews with so many people I love but they're always early in the morning when I'm not awake so I never catch it :( (by early I mean 7 AM. I'm not a morning person) Although one time they let Green Day choose all the songs for like an hour and it was in the evening and I died
sometimes people point out how i say "y'know" and "like", so i feel so much better remembering that patrick does the same. i have something in common with patrick stump. like, fight me, k'now.
I love when people like try to find any reason to share characteristics with famous, incredibly talented people. “Patrick stump uses a purple toothbrush and so do I. Like I know we’re so quirky and different, but none of you would understand. It’s a purple toothbrush kind of thing.” Sound like a “pick me” person. Guess what, BILLIONS of people use “like” and “ya know” as transitional words. It’s so narcissistic to inject yourself into the personality of Patrick because of using words Lmfao. Not that maybe you play the same guitar, are from Chicago, or maybe can sing. Then you’re like “so what fight me” I can assure you nobody gives Af but you definitely want them to 😂
@@erikzavala2377 you realize you're typing a paragraph to a 6 year old comment right. and that the random person you're trauma dumping on isn't going to care to finish reading what you typed. find another stranger to bitch to for no reason
I think a lot of rock music fans are becoming more traditionalist, especially for Fall Out Boy and other bands of their type (for example, Paramore, My Chemical Romance, Panic At the Disco), because those bands created strong emotional bonds between the music and the "Emo" teen fans. So when an artist that you loved so much, especially during your teens, changes, it can be hard to accept it.
Good summary of what those fandoms are going through. Change is usually received badly, but eventually smooths out. Hoo boy, I remember when Dan took Jon's place in the Game Grumps! I had not seen sub counts drop so quickly until the Fine Bros. announced they were taking over the concept of "reacting".
I am one of those fans that love both the newer and the older music that Fall Out Boy has put out, and it annoys me when people complain about the new music and say it sucks and all that I hate it because if you were really a fan, you would be able to love and find the beauty in anything they put out
I agree. Bands have to try new things, and I don't think people realize how hard it is to stay relevant if you don't change, but i totally agree. It's hard to go through change with things you feel very nostalgic about. It's like admitting a certain part of your life is over and that can be hard. I think that's why MANIA didn't go over as well as some of their other stuff. It was very different in a lot of ways and people have a hard time with that.
Yeah. They have to change with the time too. If they came out with a whole album like Take this to your grave not many people excpet hardcore fans might like it and it might not get played on the radio. So they have to change it up a bit. I love MANIA it's different but it's still good and I still jam out to it.
