Great! Something I have always done to indicate the area to remain open for turning, I use red-headed pins I reserve for this. Then, I never stitch too far. 😊 I love your tutorials! Thank you!

Aloha Sheryl. Lucky for your viewers that your creativity is without bounds. This table topper is a true joy and I can’t wait to make it. I’m sure it will become another one of your iconic patterns. Right now, however, my priority is to finish my stuffed fabric wreath to enter into my city’s annual wreath contest. Once that’s submitted, I can begin other projects. Thank you.

I have to make this, I love it! Thank you for another great tutorial. PS does it matter if I prewash my fabric ( I starch it when ironing) or can I just skip that? I have a fear of shrinking and having a funny shape.
@TheSewingRoomChannel
@TheSewingRoomChannel 10 месяцев назад
Hi Nancy. Yes you can pre-wash the fabric. You can use a little spray starch to keep the fabric stiff to help prevent the fabric from stretching while sewing on it. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching💗and happy sewing😍

I love this pattern! I have a round table and that would look great on it. I was wondering if I wanted to make it a bit smaller would I subtract equal amounts from the two measurements?
@TheSewingRoomChannel

Hi Lisa. Yes all fabric pieces would need to be cut smaller. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching💗and happy sewing😍
@emilyarmstrong5184
@emilyarmstrong5184 10 месяцев назад
Actually, instead of subtracting the same amount from each measurement, you keep it in proportion by multiplying each measurement by the same % or fraction.. Half as big…multiply by 1/2 or 0.5 (for 50%). This ends up about 18” wide Two thirds this size…multiply by 2/3 or about 0.67. This ends up about 24 inches wide

@TheSewingRoomChannel
@TheSewingRoomChannel 9 месяцев назад
Hi User-up3c. It is hard for me to explain how to alter this pattern in the comment section. It does require a little bit of math. What size do you want it to be - measure the diameter of your table. I would make 2 paper pattern templates and lay them end to end to see if it fits properly across your table. If it is to long draw the pattern shorter. If it is too short draw the pattern longer. I hope this helps a little. Thanks for watching💗and Merry Christmas😍
