the gulp minnows are multi fish slayers its the only soft plastic iv used to catch crappie in my area nothing ells works iv tried great video

I’ve caught all kinds of fish on these minnows.

If your fishing from sweenys beach up the pfc stocks the river . Being the browns are the stronger of the trout species they tend to hold in areas obeying not the cleanest river for trout . But , your percentage of stocked trout is higher than the wild browns . If you would like to catch some monsters . Get in touch with me . Also the tributaries coming in the river are stocked as well which in high water times the smaller trout get carried down into the river .

They stock for a kids fishing derby early in the summer down by Albright ave by the Scranton DPW. They probably just swim a little upstream from there since you’re not far. I got 2 rainbows in the Lackawanna last week. Fall stocking this year, is only at the state park, Merli Sarnoski, and Roaring Brook and you are correct, it got pushed back from 9/29 to 10/18.

Been looking forward to the Fall trout season in my state - caught 1 on a pinched crawler and one on a 2.5 inch gulp (both tiger trout). I think you could have saved those dried ones by adding some "alive". Who knows - maybe those would stay on the hook better!

Ah, the mighty Lackawanna!! LoL (Happens to be my steady, "GO-TO" small river.) I'm 90% certain I recognize your second spot there, and I've had pretty decent success with the Brookies and Palaminos --- on the Trout Magnet. They are, however, VERRRRY particular about color and cadence of the retrieve. You may wanna try behind NBT Bank in Carbondale. Access is a bit of pain in the a**, but it's a really good spot - two weird bends in the current.

Use a bobber , have a lot more luck.

Beautiful river that I've fished and run rapids on ! Try this tactic when fishing Gulps on spinning gear ! Instead of a straight retrieve try pointing your index finger toward the line as you reel ! As the the line taps against the finger the jig minnow will jump and wiggle ! It looks more natural and injured to them ! It is my go to retrieve for the past 60 years !
