This is a song my brother an i both play to remember our brothers in arms that paid the ultimate price. Its an awesome tribute to the uniform an those who died for the brothers next them. Thank you for this.
When I tried to join the military this was one of the most important songs at the time. I was a junior in high school, but due to one incident from when i was younger i wasn't allowed to join, and it devastated me. I still feel ashamed that I couldn't serve my country. The next best way is sharing patriotic songs like this one to remember our fallen soldier and veterans.
What you're never prepared for is how the faces and voices of those you lost will never leave you. They will come back to you at random moments for the rest of your life. (US Army, OIF 2004-05, OEF 2010-2011)
Thank you, SGT Nathan Fair. This song is very beautiful and heartbreaking. The profession of a soldier is the most important profession in the world. God bless you and all the soldiers!
@Nathan Fair hope u r ok 😇...my daddy was platoon sergeant..509th infantry..fort benning..world war two..captured by germans...PRISONER OF WAR .FIRST JUMP OVA NORMANDY..MANY STORIES....APPRECIATE YA SERVICE..SIR YES SIR
MSG Fair is a great down to earth man. Met one of his soldiers couple years ago in Benning. Quoted his song and his Soldier said yeah my PSG wrote that. Proceded to call Nate then SFC promotable on face time and i got to thank him for his music, its been therapeutic for me over the years.
I don't know you, but I am happy for you that you find his song Comforting and Therapeutic . I wish you the best that life and love have to give you. Thank you, for your sacrifice and defending our country for our FREEDOM.
@@sebastianstaron2923 I know what it's like to fight for my country so don't say American Soldiers don't know what it's like too many men and women died for this great country . Unless you have fought for your country and been on the front lines of war you don't know shit.
I serve 10 years Marine reconnaissance of the staff sergeant in this song makes me cry and I'm 54 I guess maybe I'm getting soft but our brothers are in a better place now the people in this country should understand we have to come together and fight no matter what
I like how he sings 'fought for their countries' not for 'our' or 'the' country (so the US), or at least that is as I hear it because it shows that he feels that every soldiers life, no matter the country matters. This song is really great. Thank you so much for sharing it ❤
@Nathan Fair I trust you less than you trust me... Good song... Your patriatism ... Doesn't fit mine... But I do salute all soldiers fighting for what they believe is just
this mans song touched my heart both my grandfathers are vets and i love them both so much they both have done so much for me im 23 years old and they have told me so many story's and its remarkable what happens to them over there i wish everyone that dose over there i hope they come home safe and thank you to all the vets that fought for our freedom you are supper hero's and we all love you all so much.
Fallen soldier lyrics The medal that his dad gave him Tucked away in his duffle bag He said don't wory about a thing, Paps You'll be gettin' this when I'll get back Walkin' down the road Through the city on a routine patrol Shots rang out and he hits the ground Sergeant yells "Man down" This is for the ones who ain't comin' back Who fought for their country in Iraq And they left their families at home To come over here and die alone I carried his coffin onto the plane And gave a salute as they read off his name We packed away that duffle bag And the Silver Star that he got from his dad There was one old man when we got off the plane With no one there for him to greet But the whole damn company shook his hand We were brothers to the son he will never see This is for the ones who ain't comin' back Who fought for their country in Iraq And they left their families at home To come over here and die alone This is for the ones who ain't comin' back Who fought for their country in Iraq And they left their families at home To come over here and die alone To all the veterans who fought for their country and to all the soldiers that is fighting for their country and to all the fallen soldiers.
@Nathan Fair Nathan my name is Joe I did 10 years 3021 I will be 53 I was also a staff sergeant not for very long but if they knew that I was getting out I probably would not have attained that rank I ended up with post-traumatic stress my last 8 months how is put behind a desk in Philadelphia that kind of sucked but I have a lot of love for everyone not so much the government but the people we all come home you take care of Nathan and I mean that from the bottom of my heart because it one time I wondered whether I even had one
I never tire hearing this. This goes out to the memory of the 15 fallen souls of Task Force Lancer 2/5 Cavalry in Sadr City, Iraq 2004-2005. Garryowen In Glory. I would also add my good friend Bradley Beard of 1/15 FA, Second Infantry Division.
@@jo_momma3270 I love this dearly. Thank your brother. I can certainly relate. We lost 15 souls from our task force, three of which are very close Battles of mine. Your brother's song gets me right in the feels for sure.
@@jo_momma3270 Incidentally, has Nathan retired? Last thing I'd read, can't remember where, he had been promoted to 1SG. My congratulations to him. Just being nosey. I'm really a huge fan of his.

I'm joining the marine core in three years and this song already gets to me god bless the men and woman who have fought and died for this country and our freedom.

Nathan, I believe I’ve heard all the songs you have on RU-vid. Thank you so much for putting it out there. People need to understand that freedom comes with a price! I’m sorry you’ve had to see some of the stuff I know you’re seen and you can’t in see it. It’s unfortunate the way that works. That all you could do is numb yourself out. Just don’t lose control of the man you are. I’m so glad you’re a musician and you could put it out there for everyone to understand. Again I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Oh yeah I read something where nobody as far as music Industry won’t pick you up. It is their loss I’ve been watching your music since it came out. Thank you my friend!
Es una canción hermosa que despierta la sensibilidad, la solidaridad y el amor hacia las personas que perdemos en la guerra. Pérdidas que dejan una huella en nuestro corazón/It is a beautiful song. Wake sensitivity, solidarity and love towards the people we lose in the war. Losses that leave a mark on our hearts.
My fiance's cousin is a pfc in the marine corps this song hits his heart everytime he's scared to get a call that his cousin passed for a good cause though
I love this song, however I am an Afghan vet, none of these men died alone. They died with men they shit, showered and lived with. If i were to have passed in a battle, i would want to drift to heaven next to 3rd battalion 8th marines india company 2nb platoon dirty birds.
Word can’t even describe what I’ve been through... this song gets me by....... cry every time... it’s what I need not to end it... so many times it would be easy to just end it... but I got little guys I gotta take care of.. hard when you’ve been through it all.. thank god I got the best wife every to deal with me low crawling out the front door in the dead of winter relapsing....
n thank GOD ALMIGHTY..FOR YOUR BEAUTIFUL WIFE...UNDOUBTEDLY A TRUE HEART OF GOLD SHE HAS... n PLEASE DON'T FORGET...YA BABIES NEED U..😇🙏🙏🙏🙏💔💔💔💞💞💞🐝🐝☘️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️
