@@pieppy6058 Not really greatest of all time, but they definitely picked up the slack from Paradox and other predominantly 4X and complex game publishers that would have taken such releases before this (and often not given them the time & resources they needed, see SotS 2). Can't wait to see what Hooded Horse will have in their portfolio in 5 years from now.

the devs of both games are friends, and as such help each other with things here and there, so undoubtedly there'll be some crossovers and similarities

I’m mainly concerned about feature creep getting in the way of delivering a game that not only looks and sounds great but also functions as a whole. This will probably be an Early Access title, so I hope the devs take their time creating a masterpiece of a game. All the hype surrounding this game certainly demands it.

This is my most anticipated game but im starting to fear its becoming too hyped. We still know very little about how the game will be played, all we have is come outstanding but produced videos showcasing not so much gameplay but isolated parts of it. In our minds now is starting to grow an imagination about how amazing this game will be and I wonder if reality could ever keep up with it or if it will just fall flat when finally released. So far FF looks to offer EXACTLY what I want in a game and even though I try to hold myself back I cant help but be childishly excited for it!

And weirdly enough it's betraying it's ships scale. Everything looks just tiny, unlike in the previous titles. They kindof forgot to put in some elements to show that even the smallest ship is around the size of a house or a schoolbus.

I’ve been keeping tabs on this game for over a year. I think it will be great for a lot of reasons. But, after the last few years of disappointing releases of previously proven games, I’m skeptical over everything now. Crossing my fingers.

if a ship is about to lose control can its last act be to pick a vector that will crash it into an enemy city? do ships have any weapons attacks that move other ships..if not it could be a bad day planetside 😀are tractor beams too exotic/distant future?

This game is in development since years by one person. Now he has a bit help from other persons he hired for things like ship design. On discord todd the developer said it would be 2025 for early access subjekt to change. So it could be delayed another time. Cause he wants to produce the best game he can, its his first game he make so, let him do his dream game and be happy it will come someday in the future.

Any word on avaiable weapon types? It looks fun but I'm really hoping it has interesting scifi weapons like Lasers., Particle beams, and Plasma cannons instead of just projectile weapons like Autocannons and Railguns

After the disgraceful and utter failure of Homeworld 3, I am watching this development with great interest and with worry at the same time. HW3 was also very promising on the trailers, then the release came.... Please, don't screw this game up, show Gearbox how it's done, and show the fans you care about them, they'll be grateful!

Unfortunately the more I see of this game, the more I feel it's going to disappoint in the end, and just be your bog standard paper-rock-scissors RTS but in a space "setting". The very fact that they added FTL travel has kind of damped my spirits.

How many times have I heard the phrase "Every Decision Is Going To Count"? I am sure this is already a lie from the studio. I am going to guess it will be like other game that give you 20 choices but only 5 really matter.

This video contains misinformation, at 5:55 he claims that the game will support modding, which isn’t true. It will have modding in the way that u can create ur own star systems and narrative campaigns, but the full mod support that is described in this video isn’t planned at the moment, but could be added depending on the success of the game and player feedback.
