Marc please don't you may not see it now but life is worth more than what you think. For years I was a walking zombie not caring what would of happened to me, my my 30's is a blur because I was lost. You will get over this hump and see the glory on the other side hang in there my prayers are with you.

I'm a recovering alcoholic, and this song hit so hard emotionally that even after a few dozen listens, it still gets me to tear up. It just amazes me how differently the song plays out here compared to the original. The original is just so upbeat that you almost don't realize what the lyrics are actually saying. The original is the addict in unrepentant denial, saying "yeah, I feel this way and I've done these things, but I'm not a monster." This version (with the SAME lyrics) is the addict at the end of his rope. You feel every once of pain and shame in his voice as he talks about what he's done, and he practically is begging anyone who will listen that he isn't the monster he knows he really is. It makes me think of how my life could have gone, because an addiction that is unchecked will eventually cause us to drive away those we love, or continue to hurt them until we drag them down with us in a downward spiral.

Bro... I too am a recovering alcoholic. I just made 3 years sober on Halloween 2020. Yeah, I went to the VA mental health ward for a start on my path, on Halloween 2017. I fully understand the struggle for those of us trying to get healthy, clean, and sober. Congrats for being in recovery. What you said about the feels of the songs is spot on in my opinon. I feel this song down to my spirit. Have you checked out his Twitch Stream? It is always a good time when he is live. And keep up the hard work on sobriety! As a fellow person in recovery, If you ever feel like you need somone to talk to, HMU. I don't judge or belittle people in general... But especially not those of us needing an ear when we are struggling to stay clean or sober. Good Luck!!!

@@JustJenReacts i understand my dear i am 38 and i am dieing i have marfan disease and also the worst case of osteoporosis they have ever seen I had six compression fractures in my back I have a titanium plate holding my breast plate together I am losing so much bone mass it is hard and very painful i fight everyday the doctors are giving me about a year to live there is no cure for what i have the pain is so bad but i will never give up so i feel you i am a big fan of you BC just listening to your reactions just takes my mind off everything so thank you

Hey Jen, i was waiting for you reaction! Especially when you can relate to him so much! That was Saraya Ronnie’s girlfriend the former wwe superstar, the story goes on that herself in white was having flashbacks on her life until his death, she was with him through it all done everything for him but eventually had enough and left but obviously came back since she loves him and finds him im his monstrous stage (when she left he went bananas haha) so he ran away thinking she wont be able to take it and she didn’t..he wound her and brought her back to life because she is his only home, he gave up himself to save her but after all those memories she couldn’t live without him so she gave herself too “she went with him..” i cried like a baby 10 times in a row, Ronnie is so underrated he’s talent is beyond us haha, i hope he will see your reaction on his twitch streams!

Oh, wow. I didn't expect to be brought to serious tears by a music reaction. I relate to this song so deeply, and what you had to say about addiction really touched my heart. My addiction wasn't drugs, it was sexual, which really is like a drug from the inside. I've been dealing with it for so many years, but I've finally been on the road to recovery since 2017. I'm doing better now than I have been in years. My reason for commenting is to say thank you for being so honest and vulnerable on your platform. I believe kindness, your words, and your heart on the subject will inspire and touch many lives. One more thing I wanted to do was address the comment you made about everyone eventually going to hell. I found that a bit disconcerning, although, I admit, I'm not sure if it was literal or figurative. The only reason I turned from my addiction and started on a better path was because of Jesus. When I was at the darkest point in my addiction, I gave my life to God, and He saved my life and completely turned it around. What I'm trying to say is that hell isn't our final destination. At least it doesn't have to be. Because Jesus gave His life to save ours, we now have the choice between if we accept our fate and go to hell or if we accept God's gift of eternal life and get to live forever in Heaven. I don't mean to sound preachy. That was just on my heart to say and I wanted to share it. I'm new to your channel, but I've just subscribed. Your reactions are amazing and you seem like a really nice and genuine woman. I look forward to watching more reactions in the future ❤

Hey Jen, Thank you for your transparency with addiction. I am 17 years removed from active addiction. I was heavy into meth. Now I am a peer specialist supporting people with their recovery effort. My experience with psychiatric hospital stays, trauma from the toxic and abusive family I grew up in makes relating to others very easy for me. Thank you for asking people to reach out and pick up people who are struggling. I am also a suicide survivor, it was not a great time in my life but with much hard work, life is worth living, even though I am an introverted recluse, lol! Just wanted to say thanks again for helping end the stigma of addicts being terrible people and there is life after addiction. I have been exploring Ayreon Universe lately, I love death metal, the European kind and symphonic metal, prog metal and have I told you I love metal? 🤣 Have a blessed and wonderful day Jen 🤘🤘

I have been obsessed with FIR for a while now. I love watching reactions to his new work because its so powerful, but I think this is the first time I have seen someone that has actually been where Ronnie has been in their own way, where I have been in my own way. Sometimes people have enough psychology background to see what he is saying. But I could see when the tears welled in your eyes that told me you know exactly how that feels. Amazing personality! Subbed Edit: i’m a recovering addict as well, about a year ago I relapsed and went down a very dark road and whenever the drug in me is you reimagined came out it was probably the darkest time of my life. I got really into falling in reverse after that and losing my mind, losing my life, and drugs, have basically been the theme songs for my life for the last six months or so....I’m on the other side now. Those songs helped me through some really dark times. Especially the song losing my life. For so long I didn’t know where to go. What to do. This dude is one of my favorite artists,in a way he kind of saved my life.

There are very few reaction channels that I sub to immediately, as usually I give them a few videos to see if I like them and if they are real or putting up a front. Immediately you can just tell... you are pretty real and it's really refreshing to see in a genre where most people fake reactions for clicks or post videos just because it's the flavor of the month without actually even feeling their own content. We all have our own struggles, it may not be drugs and alcohol, some people are addicted to work, video games, seeing how many followers they can rack up on social medias. I am glad I found your video and wish I found it sooner! Rooting for you!

Wow! Thank you! I am highly honored! So guess what??? In 2 more days…I will have 7 years off the needle. That equals 2556 days, 61,360 hours, 3,681,644 minutes, and 220,898,664 seconds of me being freed from that demon. I know exactly what you mean about the fake reactors. It’s pretty sad that they can’t be real, but we have to remember that’s their burden. They have to look at themselves in the mirror everyday, But we smart folks know real when we see it! Hi Jen. You said you wanted him to save her but she saved him. He was trapped in the life and couldn’t resist the pull of its power. It kept him from being present with the one he loved and in the end it ended her life. He wanted to bring her back but knew it would be to the same hell she left. You notice the chorus throughout the song is, “he’s not a vampire”-until the end where it becomes “he is a vampire”. He did the one thing he could-what he wished he had done in her life-he took responsibility and gave himself up. It was so he could honestly own the feelings he had for her by, finally

New to your channel but I enjoyed your honest reaction. This song is amazing and hauntingly stunning. Both my parents were drug addicts. I remember when all it took was $40 dollars for my parents to sign over custody to my grandparents when I was 7. Even through all this I was extremely close to my dad. Just bad situations. They both did get clean and better. It’s a daily struggle. It’s never over. And I’m so incredibly proud that they got better. I just lost my dad from cancer/Covid. On Christmas. I’m always asked if I would change anything about my childhood, and I always say no. Being raised the way I was made me who I am today. When I see someone struggling with addiction, I don’t look at them as less than me. And that’s what I’ve taught my kids. Don’t judge. Don’t enable but be supportive and encouraging. Subbed. 👏👏🔥🔥✌️✌️

Glad to have found you Jen, your real. At the end he just gave in to the endless torment and pain. I understand this to the core, my mom killed herself 2008, and my sister 2012 after a life of bi-polar and depression issues. I hope those who need help get it, some spent a lifetime trying but never get it fully.

You are a wonderful person just because you experienced such a hard way of life. Most people I know who are able to talk straight and clear are people with certain experiences in their lifes and those learned to accept then as such, without complaining whats was good or bad, cause the experiences they went through made and shaped them into the person you can see. And I think some people need such a dark path in their lifes. We are more able to learn from mistakes, when they are touching us. As I saw the end of the video I thought it was a release rather than a punishment. There was such a point in my own life too. I drank also a lot, had not finished school, was unemployed and spending my time with games, alcohol and girls, but still lived by my mother and she was also a very depressed person. Two toxic people together, pushing each other all the time. But then after a while my frustration became the upperhand over me as I had some problems with our neighbours too. I kicked their door in, but in this moment the police arrived and took me into a sanatorium. It sounds rough, but it wasn't that bad. After I recovered from anything that happened, I started to organize my life, get a training as gardener and pushed by my success, managed to get my highschool degree a couple of years after. Now I'm on the edge to study as the first person in my family. I wasted a lot time, cause of my problems and sometimes I'm still depressed and hanging out with some easy girls, but now I'm 34. If I'm finish with all, I'm for sure 40 like you, but in the end I can look back and saying that I made it.

Hey I really like your reactions. You seem like a genuine and candid person, thanks for sharing your story with people. My favorite thing about these remakes is that Ronnie's lyrics are always so poetic and deep, with double meanings. The older version of this song for instance came off as him being cheeky, or maybe someone going through all this heavy shit but trying to come off like someone using humor to hide pain. It played into the celeb plasticky rehab thing which also makes you think of vampires because of like MTV or whatever, like vouyerism, feeding off of other people's misery and turning it into sex to sell to viewers. And then in this version he can say a line like "I can lure any woman that I want to in my bed..." and it doesn't sound like he thinks that's a good thing. It plays into actual vampires being sexual and luring victims, but also it sounds like Ronnie saying he regrets or finds luring women to his bed an empty pursuit, because his addictions hurt himself and these other people and these aren't genuine connections he's making. So many little things like that. Even the addict line you picked up on hit so differently in the two versions.

Hello Jen, I hope all is in a good way with you and you're doing well. The first time I watched this video, I started getting chills within 30 seconds of this and I broke down in tears when he found her in the tub. After watching your reaction, I teared up again. I was an alcoholic back in the 80's and 90's but this song/video hit me deep for another reason. I'm a suicide attempt survivor and sometimes I still fall into that dark place more times than I care to admit. I'm truly glad you're not in that dark place you were once in, that warms my heart. This version hit me SO HARD. Like, my daughter had it playing because I hadn't heard it yet. I'm in the kitchen doing this and that. I was loving it then we he SCREAMS towards the end. That just...let's just say all together this song reached into my very soul and RIPPED out some emotions I'd been keeping tucked away. I was practically doubled over gasping trying so hard not to ugly cry. Ex drugs and alcohol here too. 20 years on the up and up. I've heard the original but I guess when Ronnie says it this way it hits different.

Yeah i cannot hold back tears either every damn time. I'm not an addict but his voice the passion that he projects gets to me every damn time. I battle with depression and anxiety i'm a suicide survivor and this vid hits my so damn hard. I'm in love with Ronnie as an artist as a musician and as a guy that went through hell and back turned his life around and gave the middle finger to death. He's flawed he is not perfect in any way but people like him that turn their life for the better are worth of respect and admiration.

Well done on sharing your story, that's never easy. And well done for having a story to tell. Addiction is so like many other mental health issue, so secluded, so painful and seemingly neverending. Sadly with mental health issues generally, depending where you are in the world sometimes there's just no help there. There's nothing worse than holding your hand out for help, and there's noone to take it. I'm in the UK, and realistically if you don't have money or live in the proper area, if you have mental health issues you can pretty much piss off and wait until it suffocates you cause there isn't anyone there who knows about you, cares about you or will mourn you. I'm sure it's even worse in other places

You're right. Not all addicts are bad people. Some just can't handle what life has thrown at them. And most do just need a little help finding their way again. Then there are some who really just want things to end. Be careful with those. Sometimes a helping hand can cause them to slip farther. Timing is everything. Sometimes a light can just make shadows deeper and darker. Those people still deserve to be saved because often times its not their fault. Not everybody can handle the same things. A papercut to some, might be loss of limb to another. Sometimes someone just can't be saved though. Don't pass judgement on them, because often times it's judgement that put them there. Dark comment, I know. Some may agree, some may disagree. In the end, only someone who has been there can understand.

Ronnie without tattoos is unsettling. lmao. I've been clean for 5 years and still have cravings. It's the very first thing that pops up in my head when I'm not having a good day. Only coping mechanism I've ever had. I got clean on my own so I still don't really know how to cope.
